"Nathalie is one of those people that you find intriguing right from the first moment you meet them. A fantastic dj (she played at infamous venues such as 10DaysOff Festival and Cafe d'Anvers), a talented visual artist, a pretty unique designer and stubborn enough to make her own producing sound right from the very beginning. Together with London based Ivo Stoyadinov she went into the studio and came out with a series of tracks of which ""I Am"" is her first release. It is a very stripped down minimal track with lyrics in which [...]
Singer/songwriter/producer/etc . Being multitalented in this day and age is really and truly the only thing an artist can even possibly have in their pocket if they're looking to break out into the open field of music, what with the myriad other still-yet-to-be-fully-recogniz ed acts. Novel , who cut his teeth for years in the production realm (where he was able to work with the likes of Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Leona Lewis, Kelis, Beyonce, Smokey Robinson, Talib Kweli, Raphael Saadiq, Robin Thicke and more), is moving both feet forward into transforming into an unstoppable artist with this [...]

She really wants that Oscar. This is her 2009 movie. The suspense!
Capitol's newest artist Novel is hardly new at all. Novel has been honing his skills in the biz, writing lyrics and producing tracks for some of music's biggest acts. The difference now is that Novel has stepped out from the background and is now taking center stage producing and performing his own music.

Beyoncé, who is known in the music industry for always being nice or at least trying, just trash talked a whole family of celebrities. And not any family, the Royal Family Of Pop - The Jackson. “I grew up upper-class,” she said. “Private school, My dad had a Jaguar. We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons. But I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.” Wow, Beyonce, you had a jaguar. That quite something. [...]

She is taking this double-A side thing seriously. As if she was the first one to invent that. This is another $5 video for a lackluster song that will be the bane of every adult contemporary lover. It's not "Irreplaceable," it's not even "Me, Myself & I." The only song I like from the whole Sasha Fierce bonanza is "Radio" and I have a feeling it's too staccato for actual radio. Although the lyrics are a bit kiss-ass. Watch this rise because of the banji girl demographic.

Will someone please tell Beyoncé that a diva is definitely not a "female version of a hustler." Also, what's up with the car blowing up? Didn't Mariah do that a couple of weeks ago? I don't like the song at all, in fact I think its complete balderdash, but, as with every Beyoncé song, the media won't let you forget it.

I was skeptical about watching this movie at first because I felt it was yet another vehicle to re-launch Beyonce's ailing acting skill. I find her to be emotionally vapid whether she is the love interest in that Pink Panther movie or her lackluster performance on Dreamgirls. Also, I felt that her squeakiness could change the image of Etta James in my head. This, with the fact that I felt Adrien Brody was cast to offset her banality as an actress was frown-worthy. I was wrong. Beyonce shined, while Brody stalled. The character of Etta James came out [...]

NEW MUSIC from NOVEL: On March 29th, talented rap and vocal artist Novel will release his full-length The Autobiography album (Rowdy/Capitol) with a number of high-profile guests. Novel's unique rap/vocals can be enjoyed now, however, on the new "I Am…(Future Black President)" EP. This one features 5 tracks and serves notice of what is to come... The self-titled single is really pretty amazing and we would like to think that Ben Folds has a big part of it. Watch, listen and enjoy! [...]

I am currently putting the final touches to the last new compilation of the year. It's called Reflect and it is fun pop and lush. Last time I got really heavy and some of the queens didn't like it. But, it was where I was at. Now I am in party mode again and this is a reflection of my mood and the closing of this year. I won't be able to post it here, but if you want it email me or comment on here. I just finished the cover, which I like. The track list will [...]

From Yahoo.com: "Beyonce's younger sister Solange Knowles had to fight to get her songs heard by top music producers - because no one wanted to be known for helping out the sibling of a superstar. Solange, 22, recently released her second album Sol-Angel and the Hadley St Dreams, but she admits having such a famous star in the family was more of a hinderance than a help as she struggled to win over big names like Q-Tip and Pharrell Williams with her own talents. She tells [...]

This is my favorite song from the last album and I am glad she is giving it some airtime. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Sometimes, sad. But, I love it. Especially when the song goes into "Na nanananana" mode. It feels so sombre to me. No? I guess I am missing someone.
Featuring Ben Folds Five, Talib Kweli & Spree Wilson, this vid is a nice change of pace in the Rap game where a dose of reality is always welcome. Novel's been around for awhile and it's nice to see that he's made it through the sinking ship that was Rawkus Records. I didn't like him too much when I first heard him on Quality and Soundbombing 3 . He sounded like a poor man's Wyclef Jean at a time when the original was wearing a little thin. To [...]
This is gonna be off The Audiobiography. Novel ft. Ben Folds, Talib Kweli, Spree Wilson - I Am PigeonsandPlanes

I featured him a couple of weeks ago. The bitch made it. She's on the Bonnie Hunt Show! lol.

Bye-bye, show of a generation. It's time for change.

I don't particularly think it's funny, but I am growing to like the song even if it's lyrics are v to the omit.
