When it first came out, “I Love It” by Icona Pop was really cool. A bright, anthemic, exuberant expression of “Fuck You” attitude, the song was super super catchy, but still interesting enough to feel worthy among the mediocre din of radio pop. Enjoyment of the song began to diminish, however, when it slowly but surely began to squirm its way into the mainstream- even onto our televisions.
