Check out The I.D 's debut single, "Age Anti Age". The post-punk track while being somewhat dark, is surprisingly very melodic and quite infectious. As the band points out that "they want to make up for the sobriety of their youth", I'm sure the band has plenty of drunken adventures to fuel more songwriting in the future. This youthful anthem is really a stellar introduction for a band whose future surely has to be bright. The single will be out April 2nd through Duchamp Records.
Back in January I posted a live video of Alesso playing this gem at Pacha on 12/30/2011 (above). Project 46 decided to do a little remake an give us a clean version that we can all enjoy. For anyone in the metro area that hasn't heard yet, Alesso's playing in Philadelphia this weekend, so make sure to get your tickets ASAP. Alesso was in Orlando Monday night for what visitors probably thought would be a routine set. Nope. World premiere, instead. He dropped this track toward the end of his set (which can be seen on YouTube ,) much to the delight of not just the Roxy, but, now, the world. This piano track uses simple keys to get its point across. Not the mad man piano's the Swede's have been toying with recently. Avicii - ID. How many times have we seen that in the past year? A whole lot. Some of you may still have 'Levels' listed as 'ID' in your iPods right now. Not even minutiae information is available about this track. The scuttlebutt, though, is that Nicky Romero is attached, but that hasn't been confirmed (or denied!) So apparently there is this guy in Switzerland who either owns or has access to many of the most iconic product designs from the 602s and 702s. He also takes amazing pictures of them, and posts them in high resolution for us to enjoy / print. This man is a hero. Also, so jealous.
