The Stooges were commercial failures.  None of their albums charted in the top 100 on billboard.  Sales through out their careers were minimal at best.  In 40 years, they've never had an album go platinum...or even gold for that matter.  They've never had a hit single.  They've never been on TMZ (I'm guessing).  But their iconic status is legendary.  Inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame,

Over the weekend, Iggy and the Stooges performed an intimate concert at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge, which was streamed online by NPR Music and WNYC's  Soundcheck (watch the full replay here ).
