We should be getting Spencer Sims' latest mixtape Almost On Time pretty soon, seeing as he has released today the last single from the project. In "Forward Thinking" we hear a focused Spencer letting the listener know where he currently stands and what are his goals over a chill instrumental produced by IKON, who I believe is one of the most promising local producers on the come-up.

I've been telling everybody I know about this collaboration between Saba and producer IKON. The record "Cursive" definitely showcases the two talented artists at their best and the chemistry couldn't be better. I found Saba's first verse particularly enjoying, as he raps about the stresses and experiences a young man has to face coming straight out of school, something I can definitely relate to right now. IKONS rep 2012 Gothenburg, Sweden (along with bands like Little Dragon & Ace of Base & Volvo) but sound like something straight out 1991 Manchester. These Swedes would fit easily on a big Brit festival from that era with bands like The Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets & (yes) The Stone Roses. About four years ago I had the pleasure of meeting one of the people responsible for kick starting the whole Swedish pop genre. Ola from SRVC came to Miami to evade the Stockholm winter and we all ended up partying together for weeks.
