Sleepyhead Sundays is a weekly post dedicated to one of our favorite songs of all time: Passion Pit's "Sleepyhead." Each week, we will be posting a new remix of "Sleepyhead" to soundtrack your lazy Sundays. This week's Sleepyhead remix is more mash-up than remix, as Athens, GA-based producer Immuzikation. He daftly ties "Sleepyhead" with Collective Efforts' "The Dream" in a track that sounds just plain natural, which is the ultimate goal of a mash-up. Enjoy! Finally. I couldn't sleep last night because of how excited I was for the CUP to begin. Most people will be working, and I downloaded the ESPN World Cup Application . It's extremely functional and I believe for an extra charge, you can stream games. Not a bad alternative. I know the Spanish station here in town, 92.1 FM Jose will be airing the game on the radio. Hope your World Cup weekend is a good one. May the best team win! Ratatat + Mike Posner + Shakira + Lil Wayne [...]

**EXCLUSIVE** After dropping an Immuzikation track on the radio last week, our buddy boy pal from Athens, GA sent us over a new blend of his to dole out to all you lovely lil' beasts and brats. It's like a cross-coastal high five in the raddest way possible. Mashing and mixing up two pretty opposite genres, but then when you think about it, somehow it just [...]

Giving Up the Alp (Vampire Weekend vs. Yeasayer) - Immuzikation "Ambling Alp" by Yeasayer and "Giving Up the Gun" by Vampire weekend - two great Indie songs that have been getting considerable attention in the new year. Immuzikation smoothly blends the two together to create one awesome track. ------------------------------ ------------ Home (RAC Mix) - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros The Remix Artist Collective's version of "Home" is in my opinion [...]
So, yeah, about this whole Strangers In Stereo thing that you may or may not have heard of just yet. The long and short of this whole situation is that, when it comes to collaboration or working with other like-minded...

I am honored to say that I am a part of a new music collective blog group called Strangers in Stereo . Featuring 20 of the best music blogs out there, Strangers in Stereo is the next big thing to happen. Behind the scenes of this great project is Will Hines , who started the group in the first place. Veronica from Cream Team also plays a big role, and she is the Editor in Chief of this project. A couple weeks ago during SXSW they hosted a gigantic party that I [...]

According to some late night/early morning tweets and blog posts from members of Hercules and Love Affair , we're treated to news that the NYC-based electro house troupe has completed work on their upcoming album. While other details still seem to be quite hush-hush, this bit of info alone is enough to make a beast like me grin all day long. According to the band's official blog page [...]
We at TheMusic.FM are one of the first blogs to join a crazy collective known as Strangers in Stereo . Featuring 20 of the best and most unique voices in the music blogging community, the goal is to spread the love by sharing great content from each of the blogs and working together to accomplish more in the world of music. This is not going to be a catch-all-aggregator type of deal where all the blogs just get automatically republished. Rather, we will feature key articles we want to share, and that will be coupled with some great [...]
If you're around the blogosphere with any regularity, you may have caught wind of something called Strangers In Stereo. Prior to yesterday, it was really in name only, with a Facebook page, a site with a countdown, and a Twitter account. But with the launch of the actual site Monday evening, we wanted to highlight [...]
I've been stuck in a rut lately. I've been swamped and work and when that happens I generally listen to a very small set of music over and over and over again. The problem with this is that no new music coming in means no new music going out. What happens is terrible. So to spice it up I decided to bundle together another volume of BOTR (Best of The Remix). If you'd like to check out all the previous BOTR volumes click here . Enjoy the music. mp3 : The Beach Boys - [...]

Over the past few weeks, I've been dropping a few hints about this odd enigma known as "strangers". Strangers in Stereo , to be exact. A worldwide collective of song lovers, 20 like-minded and super rad kids (this beast included) , came together with to create a music portal of massive proportions. And now, to celebrate the launch of the site (which just happened last night!) , a proper party is in order. And what better time to come together than in Austin at SXSW. [...]

Over the past months, there has been a lot of behind the scenes work to get Strangers in Stereo going. What started out as an optimistic idea has turned into a wonderful reality. Up until yesterday's launch, the project has been a big mystery, but we're finally ready to let everyone in on the secret. SiS is a collaborative effort by 20 of the best, most diverse blogs from around the world to publish content from each in one place. Kind of like a New Music Cartel for people who listen to more than one genre. [...]

Lately , it seems anytime I rant about any sports team to win on these posts, they end up winning. Until I'm proven otherwise , I will continue to bark from this soapbox. Team USA is playing Finland in the Semifinal right now. It's going to be a tough match, the next step en route to the Gold Medal game. Look for a REMATCH between Team USA and Team Canada this Sunday (plus the Nuggets play the Lakers on ABC on Sunday as well). Avalanche player, Paul Stasny, finally scored one today! Dude has [...]

I'm kind of done with the cold and snow right about now. Is it Spring Break yet? Sheesh..... I'm still kind of on cloud nine with that Nuggets and Cavs game last night. Just a word of advice to Mr. Reggie Miller. Stop acting like a know-all-ogist. The condescending attitude becomes rather cumbersome after the first few minutes and I . Too bad Altitude TV wasn't carrying the game last night. The Nuggets play the Celtics this Sunday at home. Sunday is when the US faces Canada in hockey for world domination. AMERICA! FUCK [...]

Hopefully all of you got your significant others their respective Valentines Day gifts. Every year it seems harder and harder to decide what to buy. I find myself not wanting to fall into the cliché of buying chocolates and flowers. But regardless, you have to buy those two items on top of said V-day gift. For those of you that don't have a Valentines, F* Valentines! Wolfmother-White Feather (Bang Gang Black Leather Remix) Phoenix - 1901 + Phoenix - 1901 (Immuzikation Remix) + Peter Bjorn and John - [...]
Pow pow, it's Friday! And to top it off, most of us [in the big people grown-up world] have a 3-day weekend, with Monday off to celebrate some dead President's. Thanks for your service, dudes. You know what else? I can service you with some cool music news. Onward, shall we? The Bell House is hosting a night dubbed, [...]

NFL Championship WEEKEND! I don't have a horse in this race, but going to New Orleans a couple of months ago has kind of made me like the Saints. The passion behind their fans is burning one. Their team has never been to the "BIG SHOW". On the AFC side, I like the J-E-T-S. Any spawn of Buddy Ryan is OK in my book. Especially the evil spawn named Rex. Toro Y Moi: "Timed Pleasure (Body Language Remix) " (via P4K ) The Antlers - Two [...]
