Will Schwartz has been singing memorable hooks since the first term of the Clinton Administration, first with indie rockers Imperial Teen , then in the dance-pop duo Hey Willpower (and then again with Imperial Teen when they re-emerged in 2007). He's taken to the keyboards for his new project Psychic Friend , a trio that sees him teaming up with drummer Patty Schemel (Hole) and producer/engineer Bo Boddie. The gulf has been plagued by some tragedies in the recent past. First Katrina and now the biggest oil spill in history. Yikes. Now that I think about it, I haven’t heard of very many bands coming out of the area either. I don’t blame them; it must be tough to make music when you have other things on your mind.
