This one slips by me, I admit. "The Greeks" by English electronic group Is Tropical was released last May in anticipation of their debut album Native To (released on the label French label Kitsuné). The song holds its own- with a catchy Middle Eastern lick- but the music video is what pushes this track to its full potential. A childish gun fight among ten year olds turns pretty damn gory when post-production animations make their playful actions seem all too real. The effects heighten the humor of the whole thing. Is Tropical is an electronic band from London. Their first album, "Native To", was released in June 2011 on Kitsune/Coop. Their single "The Greeks" reached over a million views in less than a week on YouTube. The music video involves a graphic representation of war redone with children and toy guns.
