The glitchy, glitzy sonic dreamworld on Ital Tek 's "Pixel Haze (VIP)" is like being slapped super-softly in the face with ecstasy-filled pillows. It's a bumping massage with playful, tickling drums and enough of those smeared sound-drops which made Nebula Dance one of the finer recent electronic LPs. Toen Ital Tek (Alan Myson) zijn eerste album uitbracht bij Planet Mu kon hij nog een dubstep producer genoemd worden. De muziek was zweverig en ietwat afstandelijk, maar de ritmes onthulden waar hij thuis hoorde. Of misschien toch niet. Twee jaar later, op Midnight Colors , was er namelijk weinig meer over van de dubstep. Het was glitch-hop met sprankelende melodien geworden. Warriorz Records is a label set up by the Warriorz crew , a gang of (mostly) dubstep djs from the super cool city of Ghent in Belgium. Their fifth and latest release WRZ005 Foundation EP features some seriously nice dubstep from Subreachers . Its proper dark bass heavy dubstep. Our fave Developer is below but theyre all winners. According to Planet Mu , "Alan Myson is entering a new phase, of which last years Gonga EP was the first step" as he explores styles of music with higher tempos as he "[reacts] to developments in dubstep, jungle and more recently footwork, retraining Ital Tek 's instinct for deep and melodic music with an emphasis on dramatic drum work and impressionistic synths with restrained precision." High on our 'must see' list at this weekends Bloc is UK dubstep act Addison Groove (aka. Headhunter). His track 'Footcrab' , released in 2010 on Swamp 81 was one of the first of many juke influenced UK releases and inspired in turn a whole wave of juke infused tracks from artists such as iTAL tEK and Rammadanman .
