With a name like "The Fun Razor", you'd be right to expect a track like this to be, well, fun . And just as you probably assumed, this is one of the most flat-out fun hip-hop joints of the year. J-Live is showing off here, rapping bars on bars on BARS over a funky boom-bap production like it's his last track ever. It's been a minute since we previously heard from Decatur, Ga.-dwelling triple-threat J-Live . But it appears that the rapper/producer/DJ has been working on some new material while revisiting last year's superb, albeit criminally slept-on, S.P.T.A. He just dropped the video for "As I Start (Over)", which finds J-Live re-introducing himself to the world. What you're watching is the raw footage of him recording the track in his home studio, where he's hopefully crafting more bangers like this.
The original “As I Start” is the intro skit to J-Live’s latest album “S.P.T.A. Said Person of That Ability”. On “As I Start (Over)”, J revisits the track with a verse to bring people up to speed on things. The video was shot and edited in its entirety at J’s home studio in Decatur, GA.
