The weekend I was in the Twin Cities for the Umphrey's McGee concert at First Avenue, I had the opportunity to hit Cheapo Discs in Fridley, MN. While not as "hip" or "cool" a location as the Uptown locale, they have a surprisingly decent selection of CD's and LP's and would recommend it. I had a gift certificate for Cheapo from my birthday in October that was burning a hole in my pocket. I don't know how I missed this, but thanks to a comment on Jack Logan's MySpace page which I monitor frequently to download free mp3s of his demos, I searched for an online show from the 40 Watt that someone said that they had listened to.
