I think it's safe to assume that Choas In The CBD 's new Dusty Sundays EP (via Amadeus Records ) will be on heavy rotation in the coming Summer months. It's a four track release with three originals and an incredible remix from none other than Jack Dixon ; all of which fall under my favorite genre: Deep House. Stream the promo mix below and show your support by picking up a copy on Beatport . Chaos In The CBD, Dusty Sundays EP Promo Mix ( buy )

More great stuff from the New Zealand lads, after just recently featuring on XLR8R with their remix of Daniel Klaus , it's nice to see them backing it up with three tracks in a similar vein. Still firmly rooted in emotionally moving house, Dusty Sundays is homage to their unique flavour that is rapidly becoming synonymous with the Chaos In The CBD name. Each track is closely related sonically, which gives an enjoyable listen from start to finish and will certainly pick up some play in the earlier [...]

![Dauwd | What's There [Fort Romeau Remix]](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4219511_lg.jpg)
Last week Dauwd remixed Jack Dixon's, Lose Myself . This week, Fort Romeau returns the favor and remixes Dauwd's, What's There . Why not start your Monday off with some grooving tunes. Check What's There remix below.

Jack Dixon is back on Skint Records with his latest single 'Above From The Below', and again he is impressing with a delightfully lush mix of dreamy soundscapes that are punctuated with tight grooves and rhythmic percussion. This is the sort of Deep House that has longevity beyond the dancefloor whilst not over indulging itself in floaty directionless sounds that lack clear purpose or drive. If for example you are already drawn to the likes of Midland , Lorca , George Fitzgerald and Maya Jane Coles then you need to be adding Jack [...]

Skint Records sub label Under 52s have been quietly signing up new young artists and exploring more left field sounds of bass, garage, funky and beyond. Next to release of London producer Jack Dixon . We covered his excellent "Running Man" EP for Man Make Music and are just as impressed with "Above From Below". Opening track "Loose Myself" has a skipping house beats overlayed with snappy percussion and a haunting vocal. "I'm Never Right" has a real DnB feel with the arrangement but feels slower and more [...]

Finally we have new work from Fresh Face Dauwd. Took four months, but Dauwd remixes Jack Dixon's already solid, Lose Myself. Dauwd's catolog isn't huge, but he has been perfect with each of his releases. Check the smooth tune below. Jack Dixon - Lose Myself (Dauwd remix)

Pictures man Dauwd (one of our Ones To Watch for 2012) has turned in a sun-splattered remix of Jack Dixon 's 'Lose Myself'. The track is taken from the Above From The Below EP, forthcoming on Skint imprint Under 52s.

This Dauwd remix of Jack Dixon is just... Wow. These vibes got me more than excited for Dixon's forthcoming Above From The Below EP, out April 30th via Skint Under 52s . Dixon - Lose Myself (Dauwd Remix) ( preview EP )

We recently featured Jack Dixon in our Electronic Artist of the Week series and it would appear he is vindicating our decision with his latest release 'Stuck On You'. Like his 'Knowledge EP' on Losing Suki he employs a slick blend of crisp beats, deep bass and atmospherics to create a slice of deep house that ebb and flows with enough energy to be the perfect foil for many a warm up DJ. Highly recommended. Jack Dixon - Stuck On You (Free Download) [...]

The previous month has seen some hyped releases on the "Big-H" labels with the likes of Scuba's album naturally on Hotflush, Burial's Ep unspurpringly on Hyperdub and Objekt's 2-side single deservingly on Hessle. We've also seen a delayed return from Untold's Hemlock label with a very interesting Randomer EP. Coincidences? Almost certainly. Tracks from the aforementioned feature alongside my other picks of the month in a bpm twiddling mix. Although strictly speaking there are a couple in there from January which I missed but had to put in due to their magnificence (two tracks from Todd Terje's "Its The Arps" [...]
2011 was the year that Bass Music officially severed its embryonic ties to Dubstep and established itself as a definable genre. Its fair to say that Bass music benefited from the ever increasing exploitation of Dubstep as a commercial sub genre of pop. Whilst majors were squeezing every penny from the genre and student nights across the UK hammered Dubsteps greatest hits week after week Bass Music was able to bloom as the new underground sound of choice. Its a new and exciting era for Bass Music with fresh and often mesmerising ideas being pushed by an increasingly talented fraternity [...]

Artwork by Dalila Couto A couple weeks ago we asked our followers what were their favorite tracks of 2011. We could have done our own top, but we have decided people should tell us, because all blogs are doing their own charts. If there is any track missing, we apologize for it, but i think everyone is included. Anyway, we have also contributed with our favorites. No doubts 2011 was an excellent year. Here we only have originals, during this week we are going to blog as well all the remixes. For sure [...]
Jack Dixon & Rick Grant - Running Man EP [Man Make Music] The second release on George Fitzgerald's Man Make Music label is a doozy by the ever quality Jack Dixon and one of TAKE Records head honchos, Rick Grant. These tracks are very different than Dixon's previous releases and the collaboration with Rick Grant really explores the House side to his style. The title track really is a

The last time Jack Dixon popped up on the Labs turntables was the brilliant "Decade EP" on TAKE . This time he's got Rick Grant in tow and it's George FitzGerald's new label Man Make Music that plays host. The title track is a lovely slab of house goodness with skippy percussion a-plenty and uplifting chords floating around a minimal vocal. Second track "Muted" is the one for me however with it's melancholy pads and garage style hi-hats wrapping themselves a pitched down vocal and bass so [...]

It has been a long time since I put mixtape together here on The Blue Walrus - but thanks to the folks at 8tracks giving me an extra nudge I have decided to start a new series with TASTE. As it should be, the mixtape is jam packed with some of the jams getting me hottest under the collar right now featuring the likes of Bastille, The Whendays, and Victories At Sea. And as before, you can grab all the songs individually below, or pick up the whole lot in a zip file below. [...]
