Today's surprising hit-and-miss track comes courtesy of James Black and Bon Iver, of all people. Their latest collaboration (their only collaboration), "Fall Creek Boys Choir" comes off an a Sufjan Stevens-esque electronic remix of one of Bon Iver's prettier songs. Basically, it takes the otherwise solid songwriting Blake and Vernon so consistently put forth and adds an infuriating layer of bleeps and off-key dots in the background. The blogosphere was set ablaze a few days ago stemming from news of one of the bigger collaborations in the indie scene of recent. Following their chance meeting at the Austin, TX music extravaganza SXSW , minimal producer James Blake and Wisconsin crooner Justin Vernon decided to work together and have previewed the culmination of the upcoming October release of Enough Thunder . When something is exactly what you expected, does that make you upset or relieved? I guess it probably depends on the situation, but in the case of the collab between James Blake and Bon Iver, I was so relieved. This very easily could have taken a turn for the worse, but it did not. You get a solid 50% feel of each artist. The case was, I was worried it would be too much Blake and no Bon Iver,
