This Sweet Love - James Yuill Prins Thomas Sneaky Re-Edit

Post winning Neonized Dragonette Remix competition and storming a few charts Here We Are were able to source something new and edible for Stoney Roads in the form of a James Yuill track 'No Pins Allowed' (James first glimpse of the starlight was via mega cool frenchy label Kitsune ). Flowing with punchy chords and capitalising on James melodic vocals this is one happy tune prepped for summer. James Yuill - No Pins Allowed (Here We Are Remix) ysi 320Kbps [...]

Another year, another year end list. Crazy that this is the third I've compiled. Has it been three years already? Crazy! Anyway here is my list of the top 30 albums of the year. Granted, I am just one man and I may have not had a chance to listen to every album ever made this year. I am speaking from my bubble of experience so if your fave isn't on here, it doesn't mean it sucks, it just means maybe I haven't heard it. Or that I didn't like it. Ha! Well get to those mp3's and enjoy! Never [...]

I have only to glance at Stereogum's post on the most anticipated albums of 2010 to be assured that next year will be better than 2009, when my most-visited album was the Stone Roses' reissue . [Heartfelt thanks again to the person who gifted me that; you know who you are.] That said, '09 had some high moments. There were a lot of albums to which I matriculated like comfort food — at so many moments, only hooks would do — and there were others that seemed to stalk me, especially the haunting, synth-addled Fever [...]
Here's Hunks and Friends with The Magic of Christmas - a Christmas song collaboration featuring some of our UK indie favorites: Sound of Arrows, Copy Haho, Sky Larkin, James Yuill, Slow Club, Dananananaykroyd, Los Campesinos!, Sparky Deathcap, The Venus Stare, My First Tooth and The Airborne Toxic Event. The Magic of Christmas was written and recorded by Bright Light Bright Light's Rod Thomas and Radio 1 in Wales' Jen Long over 9 hours one Saturday in October, sat in a Cardiff flat in Christmas jumpers, drinking gin. All proceeds of purchasing this single will benefit [...]

![[Folktronica] James Yuill – This Sweet Love](http://cache.elbo.ws/posts/2152453_lg.jpg)
Happy Thanksgiving! I am thinking about my family right now and how I, for the most part, will be spending some quality time with them today. I am not really the kind of person that associates songs for the "soundtrack" of my life but as I was listening to this warm and calm song by James Yuill (photo above), I could not help but mash the song with my imagination. If you watch movies... especially in TV shows, there is always this recurring scene as the show is about to end where a family is interacting over a [...]
click image to view artist in itunes Sounds like: Jose Gonzalez, Broadcast 2000, Postal Service, The Books What's so good? This is a one-man attempt at electronica, and he's nailed it. James Yuill has been on my playlist for months, but, as a sign that he's not a one-week wonder for me, I've taken my time to listen, become accustomed to, and grow to love the sounds of folk and electronica melting into one. There are acoustic guitar sounds layered [...]

Been listening a lot lately to James Yuill 's Turning Down Water For Air , an album released back in January of this year, and frustrated is the first emotion that comes to mind; why have I not listened sooner? Yuill's music is right up my alley with electroacoustic digs and a distinct folk vocal tone; he presents an indelible combination of acoustic pop with heavier electronica. From his bio : Like many music lovers of his generation, James Yuill has a passion for both the emotional songwriting and [...]

this gets umm... balls ass bluesy jam on a rave diet. james yuill - no suprise (v?v?v? remix)

As the Remix Roundups enter double digits I decided to drop the incremental titles and go for a more archive-friendly date format. You will thank me someday. About this collection of hot remixes? You can thank me now. ♫ The Very Best - Julia (Javelin Re-do) / This is one of the best remixes I've heard in a while . Javelin takes one of the weaker tracks off of TVB's fantastic album and completly rips it up, turning "Julia" in to a full throttle fist-pumper. [more The Very Best ] ♫ [...]

Dene was confused by science This is tremendous news, James Yuill , who released his debut album 'Turning Down Water for Air' back in 2008, has given it the remix treatment, meaning a remix album and an excuse for me to blog about one of my favourite singles of the year, 'No Surprise'. I first heard of James a few years ago when I was living in North London, my then neighbour, Joel, who runs eARmusic , told me it'd be a crime not to check him out, so I did, and [...]
Enjoy a tune from his recent visit below. Watch 'This Sweet Love' here. MP3: James Yuill - You Always Do (Fire Reinterpretation)
I played some James Yuill on PopCast 27. Here's a link to a re-recording (rather than a remix) by the man himself. It's called "This Sweet Love (Earth Version)". I recommend his Turning Down Water For Air (Nettwerk in USA / Moshi Moshi in UK. It goes well with synthpop and fans of Passion Pit and such. James Yuill blog .
