There's the kind of House music which can be a little bit, well, soft for me. A bit too ductile and weak. A good few years ago when I was out and about clubbing regularly in my youth, there were a few of house music tracks that never left my side because they were a little meatier and had sustenance. T&K , the rising girl/boy duo from Northern France, just dropped their first full-length album, "Magic Tank", full of energetic electro-pop tunes via On The Fruit Records. This week On The Fruit Records released a reMix collection featuring some awesome reworkings of ElectroPop duo T&K s newly released album, Magic Tank. The whole collection is well worth checking out, for me the highlights came from James Yuill , Mr. Mn , Rocky and Freak You . Mr. Yuills take on Little Clouds is an epic, rolling, ElectroPop monster. One Sixth Of Tommy are three girls with three guitars who make some folky noise, that is until they come across Popmeister James Yuill who reMixes their track For Always into an involving ElectroPop ballad. 'Crying for Hollywood', a James Yuill track that is fast-paced but for some reason sounds pretty laid back, seems to be an odd choice for a remix, considering it's already electronic-y to begin with. Coachella is this weekend. As tempting as it is to turn off my Twitter feed or not check Facebook this weekend, I will be glued every night.
