Granted, it is appropriate that you did a rework of someone you co-produced last year and of all songs, "Completely Exposed" is quite the doozy to remix, but let's get back to work on a new album, shall we? This remix of Jamie Lidell 's gritty pop/r&b number actually gives you less time to cruise around the song but feels like you are getting the chance to spend some more time with it. Does it really qualify as much of a remix when the guy who helped produce the original just adds some drums, and some funky-ass keyboards? I guess it does, as Beck does just that to Jamie Lidell's "Completely Exposed," a song on Lidell's Compass. It certainly makes the song a lot louder, to the point where it sounds like it's being performed live. So success for Beck, I guess? You can download the track below.

Just heard this over at WAWSTSF and it's already my jam. "Lady Luck" is from Jamie Woon 's debut album Mirrorwriting , out April 11th. Jamie is already raking in the comparisons to James Blake and Burial, but there's something a lot more accessible about Woon. I was just alerted to English soul artist Jamie Lidell, not a bad find! His "pop/soul/electronic" (that's self-branded) funk is known for its layering that creates the coolest live performances.
