The organizers of the Tennessee music festival Bonnaroo are making us sweat it out sloooowly by revealing the lineup for this year's fest one act at a time on their MySpace page . But they've finally dribbled out enough names to get us pumped: Jay-Z, Weezer, Kid Cudi, Kings of Leon, Wale, Dave Matthews Band and Norah Jones are a few of the big names on this year's incredibly eclectic lineup. Check out the announced performers after the jump (and we'll be updating as more and more acts are revealed): The Avett [...]

Seeing that Jay-Z was just announced as a top performer on Bonnaroo's MySpace (remember that site?), I couldn't help but wonder, who's selling out more in this arrangement? The hippie jam band fest in cohorts with the Hip-Hop's icon of individual capitalistic gain? Or the self-proclaimed street hustler taking to the stage about as far from the Marcy Projects as anywhere this side of the moon. I'd say the music festival. Jay-Z's never fronted his reasoning for entering the game, and if that means playing "On to the Next [...]

Filed under: Concerts and Tours , News After a full day of announcing artists one at a time on social networking sites like Twitter and MySpace , Bonnaroo has finally unveiled its full 2010 line-up. It's a good thing they only unveiled it only in spurts at first -- the full line-up is so stacked and top-heavy it's hard to take it all in at once. Seriously. This year's gathering -- which will take place from June 10 to 13 at the festival's 700-acre homestead [...]

Not too long after Coachella and the Pitchfork Music Festival revealed parts of their official 2010 lineups, Manchester, Tennessee's four-day Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival is doing the same. Announced throughout the day (one act every six minutes) via the festival's Myspace , this year's lineup (as of now) includes several large acts including Jay-Z , Phoenix and The Flaming Lips performing Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon . Several other acts include Weezer , Wale , [...]

Well, this should be fun. The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival has proved to be quite the epic annual event. For its 2010 edition, the festival organizers have decided to make the lineup announcement equally epic, so for the next 24 hours or so we'll be glued to our computer screens waiting to see who will be hitting Manchester, Tennessee from June 10-13. As previously mentioned, the lineup announcement will work something like this. Unlike previous announcements, the 2010 bill will not be unveiled all at once, but rather throughout the day, with the goal being [...]
"I just think in Hip-Hop, when a trend becomes a gimmick, it's time to move on. I saw a Wendy's commercial and they're using Auto-Tune. They're joking on it. It's like, OK, enough of that.. . It was a trend, it was cool in the beginning. Some people made great music with it, now it's time to move on."- Jay-Z Back when Ron Browz was poppin' champagne and that one DJ was doing whatever he was doing, we probably would have got a kick out of this; knowing [...]
This years Super Bowl may have featured aging rock icons during halftime, but today's most relevant hip-hop stars seemed to run the rest of the show. Beyoncé got snatched up by a claw and T-Pain hocked Bud Light during the commercial breaks, and even Young Jeezy got into the game by penning his own "Who Dat?" ode to MVP Reggie Bush. But Super Bowl XLIV kicked off with a stick of dynamite by having Jay-Z perform an incredible mash-up of "Run This Town" mixed with the CBS NFL theme song, accompanied by classical/electronic group [...]

Filed under: News , New Music , Exclusive When news came out last year that the Ting Tings had signed to Jay-Z 's Roc Nation -- the group has actually signed with Roc Nation's management, but is not on the label -- the quick assumption was that the British duo of Jules De Martino and Katie White would be collaborating with the rap icon. Despite that speculation, De Martino says that right now no decision has been made. "We've got to get to know him [...]

I'm lying. He did kickstart things with this orchestral mashup of "Run This Town" to set things in motion. Props: Double R
Here's Jay-Z's Superbowl opening rendition of "Run This Town". The Who will be performing at half-time, but The Who is boring, so I'll definitely be watching the puppy bowl . Saw it at RR Pigeons and Planes
