This is a selection of recordings from The Jeff Beck Group , which were recorded as sessions for the BBC (Radio One), from 1967 to 1971. This is not the complete set of songs perfromed by the band for the BBC, however it does represent a very good flavour of the material the band were performing live at that time. The audio quality of tracks one to nine are notably better quality than track ten to seventeen however the latter tracks include some classic material, along with off air comments and introduction from DJ John Peel.

During the late '60s and early '70s, Rod Stewart found favor with rock fans as the voice of the Jeff Beck Group and the Faces, gaining a reputation as a charismatic and gifted interpreter of song. Once he set out on a solo path in the '70s, Stewart gained a whole new audience as he achieved commercial success in the States far beyond his work with those bands, notching a string of major hits like Maggie May , Tonight's The Night , and You're In My Heart . By the late '70s, Stewart was an [...]

With an estimated 250 million worldwide album and single sales, Rod Stewart arguably possesses one of rock's greatest and most distinctive voices. For many years, he called Warner Bros. home, first as lead singer of the influential band the Faces and later as an internationally successful solo artist. Released November 17th, 2008 (UK) on Warner Bros., 'Some Guys Have All The Luck' is a definitive, 30 song collection spanning 1971 to 2004. Two versions of the album are available: a standard two-CD edition and a deluxe edition that includes a bonus DVD [...]

...and he went. Poor Ronnie Wood . Making Pete Doherty look like a total lightweight, he's been on a bit of a bender recently, going off without his wife of 23 years, instead taking with him a 20 year old Russian 'cocktail waitress' (and escort) to Ireland for a massive drink, drugs and how's yer father session. And now he's in rehab trying to save both his vital organs and his marriage. Being a Rolling Stone, surely that's all part of the job? Just ask Keith Richards or Bill Wyman. At least Ronnie's girlfriend was above the legal age of consent. To [...]
