by Steve McGillivray I bought a tape this week. Yes, a tape. Also known as a cassette. They were around when I was younger you know. Apparently some bands release their singles on tape nowadays. It seems almost hip to do this and there are even entire labels that only issue releases on tape. Wilco - The Whole Love Jeff Tweedy and the boys of Wilco have been around for 18 years now. In that time they have released eight studio albums, including this latest release The Whole Love . That's pretty decent output by anyone's standards, but what sets Wilco apart is the sheer quality of that output. The Whole Love is a self-produced album, so can the band from Chicago stay on track whilst being in complete control of every aspect? Or will they fall into a self indulgent pit? [...]
