JEFF The Brotherhood - "Particle Beam Dream" I bought a hurlabyte of space. external with 20F connections and WizzSpin transfer rates. I want to make my relationships with strangers LOSSLESS. I want to be able to go over every look, every turned away shoulder, every hurried step, every half-smile and over-tired grimace, every slight encouragement or hands-off attitude, at the end of the day, and really study it. I want to keep them all, in full resolution, no compression, for posterity. I think the electricity of my life deserves that much, to be remembered in high quality. Then [...]
Steve Cross It's a lot of fun when you go see a band and then, later in the night after you and the band have had a few, you get to talking with the singer, and it turns out that even though she snar... Continue reading "Screaming Females, JEFF the Brotherhood and Heavy Cream at The End 5/7/09" >
So even with the intriguing images of a misty-eyed Lil Wayne, news of Grohl joining McCartney for a performance and the possibility that Miley Cyrus might do something else dumb, I still probably wo... Continue reading "Weekend Round-Up: Does Anyone Watch the Grammys? Ever?? Style Part 1" >
So for anyone who won't be either cruisin' up the Highway to Hell at the Sommet Center or gettin' freaky in a cave with some Jews this Saturday, there is one more strange combo of venue and artist on ... Continue reading "Infinity Cat Visits RCKTWN" >

Hey blog--maybe I'm back again, we'll see. We had a really good stretch and everything seemed right from the end of February until the end of July. We shared lots of good music, some random things on the internets, and my friends loved how our little inside joke of another one of my websites got some very minor attention. Then came my plate throwing phase in the early fall followed by my Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness. (Billy Corgan, I loved you during your Zwan days, too. Dommie can vouch for me. ) [...]

Friday's a little bit tamer than Thursday's schedule - there are eleven showcases to choose from instead of fifteen, but the festival makes up for it with the first of two official after parties at City Hall. Friday's after party is sponsored by Red Bull and features The Dynamites , and I'm pretty sure everyone's going to end up there at the end of the night. But before that, you've got your work cut out for you deciding what to see. The Cannery has a great lineup - including Kindercastle , Cortney [...]
Okay, so I'm back from the hiatus I didn't say anything about (I was busy...having a life), and no-one cares about anyway, so on with the music! Today's post is gonna consist mostly of stuff I've been sent over the past couple of months by various labels, street teams and marketing people. It's all pretty good, though! I guess the Gmail spam filter also handles crappy music. It seems AOL have graduated from giving mediocre internet connections (at least back in the [...]

Cake Bake Betty - "Doves" The first 1:45 of this song is a slow walk out on to your front porch, midnight, screen door spilling light behind you. Crickets, the whole bit. But the last 0:26, is an explosion, it sounds like cannons going off, but barely anything has changed. This song has amazing power, and it might be interesting for someone to cover this song, in a version where those cannons come to life, though maybe they should always stay unfired, I don't know. [Buy] Jeff - "I Don't Need Your Tas-T" This is the most accessible track by [...]
