Jeremih took his talents to Germany to perform at Rush Hour Dortmund last night. Catch 'Mih performing "Birthday Sex" up top and running through a few of his favorite records below. Def Jam artist Jeremih has revealed his remix of Future 's single 'Karate Chop'. The track has already become subject to mass controversy due to Lil' Wayne 's input and, in particular, his reference to murdered American civil rights figure Emmett Till. The verse prompted the termination of Lil Wayne's endorsement deal with Mountain Dew as well as an apology from Epic Records. Jeremih's full LP – titled Thumpy Johnson – is due for release later in 2013. Download his remix of 'Karate Chop [...]
Jeremih has added a verse to Future's "Karate Chop." This version doesn't censor the Emmett Till lyric that prompted Mountain Dew to end their contract with Lil Wayne. (In an interview with LA's Power 106 ... read more

Jeremih takes some time out of recording his Thumpy Johnson project to take on Future's "Karate Chop". Thanks, Nav . The post Jeremih - Karate Chop appeared first on Fake Shore Drive .

Following his team-up with Big Sean and Paul Wall on last week’s “Ol’ Skool Pontiac,” Jeremih links up with The Game for his latest rap&B collabo, “Let Loose.” While a lot of R&B artists try Hip-Hop influences on for size, Jeremih has a way of ingraining himself into Southern rap rhythms in a way that seems inherently natural. No word on whether it will show up on Jeremih’s upcoming Thumpy Johnson album, but “Let Loose” is plenty good enough to ride around with for a bit. [...]

I seriously can't remember the last subpar track Jeremih has been a part of. Dude is really out here playing homerun derby with California Redwoods, and "Let Loose" is yet another ball that's going yard. This song is a heater, and almost as good as their previous collaboration on The Game's " All That ." The hi-hat train and snare hits makes this feel like a R&B version of Ace Hood & Future's " Bugatti ," which isn't a bad thing at all. Look out for Jeremih's upcoming album, [...]

Uh oh. Jeremih just let loose another leak, accurately titled "Let Loose," from his Thumpy Johnson album, which is due out on Def Jam this summer. Compton king, The Game, adds a guest verse to round out the track. Go ahead and press play on this one. Ls The post Jeremih f/ The Game - Let Loose appeared first on Fake Shore Drive .

Despite the posting of Jeremih, Big Sean and Paul Wall's "Ol' Skool Pontiac," there isn't anything note-worthy within the song that causes us to wax poetic. In brief: the beat's alright (a low-key play on Houston chopped-and-screwed without all the residual drip), Jeremih sort of mumbles like Chief Keef, Big Sean talks, obviously, about b*tches-probably yours-and Paul Wall goes off rapping about cars. So, "Ol' Skool Pontiac." But really: who decided to throw them all onto a song together? Not that it's a horrible idea, but Jeremih, Big Sean and Paul Wall [...]

Bet you didn't see this one coming, did you? Well, we didn't either. Jeremih grabs Big Sean and Paul Wall for this ode to those old school whips (specifically Pontiacs). Jeremih's currently working on his new album, but there's no telling if this joint will make the final cut or not. Either way, this joint goes. Check it out below. Gather round, it's that time again. This week is my turn to feature a top 10 chart as we like to do every Tuesday here at Stoney Roads. This will be my first chart, backing up fellow Stoners Ben , Faluvia , Kish and the rest of the brave souls who dared to publish their thoughts on the almighty internet. I had a long, hectic day today, so for this chart I figured that since everyone leads busy lives which often take us down a road of questionable sanity due to stress, I'm stripping [...]

After piquing interest with a Sun Raw remix EP last month, Red Bull Music Academy alum and (apparent) R&B mega-fan Naphta is back with another remix package. This time around, the Polish producer has put forth his oddly slurred take on some of the most critically acclaimed R&B cuts from the last year, drawing from Autre Ne Veut, Shlohmo & Jeremih, and Tinashe. Naphta also draws quite a bit of his sound from regional American staples like Jersey Club and Three 6 Mafia-style, hi hat heavy beat work. The package is highly entertaining, if not spectacular, but few remix [...]

CAN’T SAY 's very own SALLY LAM has been interning for us in the PURPLE SNEAKERS office for a couple of months now. Having already submitted her 'TOP FIVES' a few weeks back we thought now would be a great time to get a break down of her favourite tracks of the moment in a fairly new series we like to call our 'SOUNDCLOUD WRAP'. Check out SALLY 's favourites below and other recent wrap ups from TOM HUTCHINS [...]

OOOOK! It's been a wild ride since my last post for y'all. Since then I've trekked through the jungle in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica. I saw a puma! Amongst many other creatures as this area of Central America holds 2.5% of the WORLDS biodiversity. How cool. Went to the incredible Lucidity Festival (one of my faves this year so far!). Hung out in Los Angeles. My 4th time there in the last seven years. I have a new found love for Los Angeles that I've never had before. It's so much better with friends! [...]
Sunday Morning Medicine is a feature from Dancing Astronaut dedicated to the mellower side of electronic music. We bring you our favorite therapeutic selections — old and new — in an attempt to alleviate the agonizing effects of a long weekend of partying. After taking on Classic Rock remixes for last week's edition of Sunday Morning Meds, we've decided on another genre-themed offering. This time we're venturing into the world of hip-hop and R&B where collisions with dance music have often proved dramatic. [...]

Photo: Steffen Kørner Ludvigsen Many an SXSW-punter came back from the festival spinning a bad rip of this song. Ryan Hemsworth played it in a DJ set or something. Anyway, it's here now, in all its trap-filled mania. Miguel's newly-fixed ode to the naughty stuff (spoiler: listen to the chorus) gains the occasional glimpse of its former self in this remix from Oslo producer Cashmere Cat , although that's only really in the first 30 seconds where drifting vocals get caught up in soft, sinking string patterns. But then everything [...]
Last week we included the newest tune from TNGHT, "Acrylics". A massive tune in its own right, but this week, DonKong had a fever, for which the only cure was more cowbell and absolutely turned it up in this remix. Next, the newest dancefloor anthem from Macklemore gets a huge trap twist from Dance Floor Junkies. With a brainmelting drop filled with lazers and horns, this is sure to keep everybody's hands up and get all of the party people sweating. A new song from Flosstradamus is always something to get us excited, and this 4/20 special is no exception. [...]
