If you've been reading Metrojolt since the earliest of days, you've seen Ben's original post on Zeds Dead way back in the beginning of 2010. I would now like to return your attention to this duo from Toronto, comprised of DC and Hooks, that remains after years of listening one of the few dubstep producers I can consistently rely on to put out GOOD original dub material. We are currently in what I like to call the Dark Ages of Dubstep , which I suppose to some people might seem like a good thing as far as [...]
Gonna make this quick as I've got less than a day to prepare for my travels down to South Florida. Let's start things off with my current addictions: Man is this one a banger... Can't stop playing this one in my sets, sometimes more than once Cicada - Come Together (BeatauCue Remix) Kito & Reija Lee. Just. Don't. Miss... This ones no exception, hits all the right spots. Kito & Reija Lee - Run For [...]
Zeds Dead showed up on my radar this year when I heard their phenomenal remix of Massive Attack's "Paradise Circus". Since then, I've been hooked & can't wait to... **Summary** Go to website for downloads, videos & more.

CAN I JUST SAY?! CAN I JUST SAY - how AMAZING this band is? On so many levels. The first point is that Polly Mackey & The Pleasure Principle is not just another band from London - they're from Liverpool! (or Wrexham near Wales depending on how you look at it) Secondly, Polly is COOL AND amazing with the guitar. Thirdly - they sound like Tegan & Sara + Uh Huh Her . Fourth it's not just another boring GUY band with guys in it. Why cant there be more bands like this? [...]

My routing when driving to work during the week consists of listening to Mike and Mike in the morning. Their "East Coast" bias is never too large to get in the way of a good story, but the alternative is listening to a mediocre local show on 87.7 the Ticket . Mike and Mike brought up a point that was interesting in the case of Michael Vick. A lot of people expected Vick to be well rested after spending plenty of time in the clink. Those same people didn't expect the second coming of [...]
Woke up this morning and took a 7 hour train ride, through the interwebs. Found this online, credit goes to Reddit.com and i09.com. 7 hour train ride through Norway set to Electronic music, 13 parts on youtube, it all starts here. I love the concept, but I would love it if someone like Erol Alkan were behind the mix. Would guarantee the 7 hours was filled with an educational ride of all music I enjoy. Now Enjoy some tunes from some of my favorite artist: Rihanna - Only [...]

Canadian indie dubsteppers Zeds Dead released their latest work last weekend. I've posted about these guys twice already, but I just couldn't stay away from a couple of brand new releases. First up is a remix of UK live electro-dubstep act Jeuce. As one of their first releases ever to go up on Beatport, it's a big step forward for the duo. Kiss got the classic ZD treatment: hard, wobbly steps with a nice touch of vocal work. However, the house breakdown in the middle retains a bit of the Jeuce in the song. [...]

This weekend is without a doubt a great start to Hallows Eve. Thanksgiving and Christmas are only celebrated on one or two days, although if you're Jewish there is Hannukah, but Halloween is a week long holiday, it starts the Weekend before and ends on the Weekend of. For party goers in Southern California, Monster Massive is this Saturday: Oct 23rd, 2010. Felix Da Housecat, Armand, Classixxx, Axwell, etc..So here's a couple tunes to listen to while traveling to the show. And if you aren't going to make it out or can't, here are some tunes to enjoy [...]

New stuff from Jeuce in the form of new single Kiss . One of the things that makes Jeuce standout is that despite producing dubstep tracks, they sound like a band with a lead singer, not a featured artist. Whether this makes them more 'popstep' than dubstep is up for debate but that's really not very interesting; they make great music notwithstanding the classification people care to give them. Bass-lovers will be pleased to hear that Zeds Dead make a welcome comeback on the release and their remix is the highlight for me. [...]

Zeds Dead has been doing some work and its a bad bad t'ing. First off we have Zed's official remix of Jeuce's single "Kiss". It's jam packed with the Zed filth we know and love. This baddie dropped today on Jeuce's "Kiss" remix EP on iTunes. I'll provide a link to it after the stream. I am really digging it. The nasty wobblies really enhance Jeuce's vocals. Purchase: Jeuce - Kiss (Zeds Dead Remix) Second up, we have the Dead duo throwing down [...]

The Get Hype Collective will be showcasing their first London event this Saturday at the notorious Brixton Mass. Headlining the event with an all out live set will be the collective's front men Jeuce . They stormed Glasto and topped the download charts on Hypem, and have been tipped for big things on Kissy's Radio 1 show. You can be sure to expect a sizeable blow to your Dubstep armoury after seeing these boys ie. saddle yourself up for a battle of low end wobble on the mainstage. On top of playing live, Jeuce will also be [...]

Well, with my first year at Lollapalooza in the books I think I can safely say that I'm now "into the festival scene." Lolla 2k10 was amazing and I'm looking forward to closing out the year with North Coast Fest, Sonar and the Mad Decent festivals. Given that this was my first year, I found myself "shooting" a bunch of videos with my iP4. Some good, some bad, but in general they're all pretty awesome. I welcome you to check out a couple of those videos below and all of them, in 720p HD, right here . I'm not going [...]

Jeuce have returned with a new mixtape and bootleg. Make Love is an extremely chilled album track from Human After All but the Leeds-based dubsteppers have transformed it into a bass-heavy stormer while paying respect to the more downtempo original throughout its breakdowns. I'm following up the previous Vacay Vitamin D1 (Disco) with a slightly higher dosage of Vitamin D140 (Dubstep). This Vitamin has an entirely opposite effect on the body as opposed to Vitamin D1. Side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, severe mood swings, man slaughter, and turning into the incredible HULK. In volume one I'm going to be featuring the likes of Borgore , Bare Noize , DatsiK , Excision , and Zeds Dead . Vitamin D140: Ingredient #1: Borgore If you haven't heard of Borgore then you don't listen [...]

**EXCLUSIVE** Playing on his natural ability to combine light and dreamy aesthetics with sinister and dark undertones, Mr. Fogg 's newest single, Stung , portrays the unique artist at his true genre-defying best.
