SoCal and NoCal team up to release some of the best electronic pop magic I’ve heard the last few months on “Move Me”. Beatsmith Giraffage creates a woozy concoction that gives DWNTWN and Jhameel the opportunity to both croon in the most sultry of ways. If you could have sex while you’re dreaming, this is what it would feel like. Taken from the Kitsune America 2 compilation out now .

Today, I introduce you a very promising collaboration... As part of the compilation "Kitsuné America 23 , the upcoming producers Jhameel , DWNTWN and Giraffage teamed up, for the track "Move Me". Each of them brings their own talent: the delicate vocals of Jhameel and DWNTWN are a perfect combination, coupled with the magic vibes from Giraffage. The result is just brilliant. I strongly suggest to look more closely at the work of these 3 producers, you won't regret it... Do you like it? If so, [...]

Today's mix is more downtempo and should help you get into a good warm weather groove. My personal favorite is Kyogi's remix of "Valentine." We're saving the best for last. We'll start off with some reggae. Dub Club's latest lends a great groove. Dub Club - Beware Dub by Stones Throw Records The best part of this mashup is Jhameel - the graduated-in-2-years-from-UC-B erkeley-with-a-degree-in-arabi c-second-coming-of-MJ artist. Teaming up with the LA band DWNTWN and producer Giraffage, our friend Jhameel releases a hotly anticipated track after a period of down time, or "a long simmering quiet period" as his team described it. Jhameel's sound really comes through perfectly in tandem with the vocals from DWNTWN, creating a great pop track.

When I got an email about Jhameel being on a new song, I was interested right away as we have been a big supporter of the bay area artist. Yet, this song called "Move Me" is actually from producer Giraffage for his contribution to the Kitsuné America 2 -compilation and it also features vocals from DWNTWN . The electronic beat is superb and is what you come to expect from Giraffage , but then mixing in the light and playful vocals of the other two creates successful sound. Stream below. [...]

One artist in particular we've been excited about as of late is San Francisco based Giraffage , gaining an increasing amount of visibility through well produced pop-influenced tracks. For this latest sound, he teams up with Jhameel and DWNTWN for yet another easy-going and relaxing few minutes, with the indie pop vocals of both artists balancing nicely with the production. "Move Me" will live on the Kitsune America 2 compilation, out Wednesday via itunes here . The post [...]

If you frequent this blog, you know I'm personally a huge Jhameel fan so of course I'm going to post his latest and greatest. This time he teams up with DWNTWN and Giraffage to bring you this new song. Jhameel and Robert from DWNTWN were roommate in the San Francisco Bay Area, so it's no surprise that the two might team up to make one hell of a compilation. In case you missed it back in November, check out our interview we did with Jhameel. [...]

I'm not familiar with vocalists Jhameel and DWNTWN, but they are a perfect complement to Giraffage 's full-bodied instrumental on "Move Me". The track stems from the Kitsune America 2 compilation, which drops tomorrow here in the States, and is perhaps the most radio-ready cut from the San Francisco producer yet. Giraffage has never made difficult music, per se, but tracks like these are sure to get him the attention he so deserves. Listen below.

MOKB favs Jhameel , DWNTWN , and Giraffage teamed up for a new track titled "Move Me" to some sexy results. The song will appear on a new Kitsuné compilation going by Kitsuné American 2 slated for release on April 30th. In addition to this song, songs from Toro Y Moi, Chrome Sparks, HAERTS, Theophilus London, and more will appear. Listen below.

We've been waiting for this one to come up for air for some time now. No & So Cal forces unite for "Move Me," part of Kitsune's forthcoming America 2 compilation. It's pretty incredible how well Giraffage's sample manipulation works with vocal stylings from Jamie Leffler of DWNTWN and Jhameel. It all finds the pocket. Hoping there's more collaborative projects from these guys in the works because this is one for the books. Jhameel X Dwntwn X Giraffage - Move Me hat tip to Indie Shuffle [...]

Join us in Santa Monica this Tuesday night as B3SCI Presents team up with the Central S.A.P.C. for a not-to-be-missed night of local music with this month's artist in residence, L.A. based synth-pop-rockers DWNTWN. Fresh off their noise making trek through SXSW and new single "Stood Me Up," the Jamie Leffler fronted collective has topped music radars as of late. To add to the excitement, French label Kitsuné has just announced that their new Kitsuné America 2 compilation, due April 29th, will feature the track "Move Me," a collaboration between DWNTWN, Jhameel, and Giraffage. And speaking of DWNTWN [...]

Tracklist: 1. Ghost Loft - [...]

![[PLAYLIST] The Best COVER SONGS of 2012](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/4746635_lg.jpg)
Cover songs are still my favorite way for emerging bands to put their own sound on a hit song and get easy attention. However 2012 was for some reason a slow year for cover songs. Luckily a handful of bands did them well and left us with flipped and twisted takes on old classics and net hits alike. Here are my 10 favorites. What did I miss? Download the ZIP file ! NOTE: Some covers may have been released before 2012. The rules for my best of lists are [...]
2012: The year that the world was supposed to end, or so the Mayans said. 2012 has been a whirlwind of a year. However, when I look back at it, it wasn’t that much of a whirlwind. It seems like a big blur, the longest stretch of a year. Granted, we did get an extra day with it being leap year and all. In 2012, I visited friends and family in some cities that I’ve never been to before, I went to a fair amount of awesome shows, and I spent quality time with loved ones-though not enough quality time.
