Turntable Kitchen's December Mix isn't our usual mix. Instead of a heavy focus on new music, I highlight some of my favorite tracks from the past year. Unlike last year though, I didn't focus on digital-only tracks, but instead highlight some of my favorite tracks released during the year regardless of the format it was originally released in. I hope this will help keep your holiday travels jolly and bright. Turntable Kitchen :: The December 2011 Mix ( .zip file )(on Spotify ) 01. I Break Horses - Winter Beats [...]

When you are in the depths of Winter it can feel as if Spring will never arrive, and yet here we are, with the weather growing warmer, the days becoming longer and the skies often seeming bluer. We're riding bicycles through city streets, planning camping trips with friends, drinking beers while watching baseball games and going on long hikes through the hills. It's a good time of year. A lot of the music that I've been obsessing over speaks to the change in the season too. By and large these aren't songs for a day at a beach, which isn't [...]
Late Night Musings Been meaning to post this video for a while, because this is basically how I plan to enter rooms for the rest of my life. In my book, this guy kills that Dos Equis retiree. Here are three rap tracks that are shaping up to be summer heat rocks. Jones and Lloyd team up for a classic pop summer track. Aside from the fact that Khaled is attached to it, I’m On One is an all around fantastic song. Lastly, Sean dropped this single a while back and goes in on some of [...]

Jim Jones did a track with Girl Talk ? Sounds like an alternate universe to me, but the song "Believe In Magic" didn't turn out half bad. Nice production by Girl Talk, Capo's rhymes are tight, and they even threw Lloyd on there. Check out the song. JIM JONES FEAT. LLOYD - BELIEVE IN MAGIC

This might be the first Girl Talk 'produced' record out there. Apparently this came from a freestyle session with Jimmy Jones and GT. I Dig the results. Girl Talk - Jim Jones ft. Lloyd – Believe In Magic (J4L) | mp3
