It's a must-read for everyone interested in rock music.

Ep.485 - Jimmy Eat World @ The Wiltern - Los Angeles, CA - 09/29/11 This was my sixth time seeing Jimmy Eat world live, and they never disappoint. This show was extra special because Jimmy Eat World was celebrating the ten-year anniversary of their album "Bleed American." The album is one of my favorites and includes hits such as "Bleed American," "The Middle," "Sweetness," and "A Praise Chorus." Jimmy Eat World @ The Wiltern Video Concert Review [...]

Today's song is "Pick Your Poison" by The Greater Risk . The Richmond, VA quartet consists of Ashley Drewes (guitar), Blake Gillespie (guitar/vocals), Nathan Wilson (bass), Derek Ames (drums). This song is off the band's current EP, Say What Your Never Said which will be released October 25th. The guys came together just less than a year ago and already are making a name for themselves by earning the title of Unsigned Artist of the Month by Alternative Press this past January and peaking at #2 on the Purevolume charts. This fall the band will hit [...]

The final day of Leeds Festival 2011 brought with it dryness and a relative calm that I hadn't seen all weekend, no frantic rushing to tents. Just good music. Well, for most of the day anyway… Speaking of music that just is not good in the slightest, my first port of call for the day was the Main Stage to watch Pigeon Detectives. Beginning with their set with arguably their most popular track 'I Found Out' was their first mistake, as they had my attention for that [...]

Photo via Jimmy Eat World's Facebook page Jimmy Eat World is a great band. " The Middle " is just one of those songs that, no matter when you hear it, you cannot help but shake your head and throw your fists in the air. Jimmy Eat World has stood the test of time, and are still making music that is full of heavy, rock-fueled energy. The band has been climbing to the top since the early '90s, gaining mainstream success with their album, Bleed American , featuring hit songs [...]

Tweet Watching 'live' performances on the TV or Internet is a bittersweet experience. You feel pleased that you don't have to miss out but at the same time you're made even more aware how much you're missing out. You can relax on the sofa, rather than stand for seemingly unending, back aching hours. You can crack open a beer not purchased for £4.50. You can stay dry with no fear of British weather falling from the sky or British teenage urine falling from a passing beer can / urinal. [...]

Nostalgia is everywhere lately. Whether it's looking back on Nevermind after 20 years, remembering the life of Aaliyah, or just commenting about nostalgia in general , we seem to be a little obsessed with the past at the moment. Some people are upset about this, describing us as if we're a generation that has run out of good ideas, forced to define ourselves by associating with the idealized images of years prior. I don't think that could be further from the truth. The fact is, things are moving faster than ever and with instant access [...]
What a week of surprises. An earthquake rattled NYC . Steve Jobs terminated himself . And a hurricane's coming out of nowhere to slap the NE somethin' fierce. So why not some equally unexpected collaborations, covers, and other tunes? Damn right. Enjoy thoroughly.
Tokyo Police Club finished the second of ten 10-hour long studio sessions yesterday, recording a electric-infused cover of Jimmy Eat World 's pop-punk hit "Sweetness". Joined by Michael Angelakos of Passion Pit , the Ontario indie rock outfit don't really make too many changes to the song aside from a brief electro interlude near the end. You can check out "Sweetness" below. For the next part of the ten-song series, the [...]

The Tokyo Police Club covers project rolled on today with a faithful rendition of Jimmy Eat World's 2002 classic "Sweetness." Passion Pit's main-man Michael Angelakos lends some shrieking falsettos to the chorus. You know, his specialty. Check out the tune below, yesterday's Moby cover here and stay tuned tomorrow for the next installment, a version of The Strokes' "Under Control." Amanhã será a ver [...]
Tokyo Police Club have decided to undertake an impressive little project - ten songs, ten days, all covers of tracks from the last ten years. Sounds pretty cool right? Looks like yesterdays was a cover of "Southside (feat. Morgan Kibby of M83)" - you know the track that was all over the airwaves on '01 when Moby and Gwen Stefani did it? It's a pretty neat little cover - it settles into a groove where it sounds much like the original which isn't a bad thing. The intro is definitely interesting. Looks like the next track [...]
