I sincerely apologize for the lack of post yesterday. My internet connection was going haywire. But alas, it is fine now and so am I, so here is my post that is now overdue. I haven't done a mix in a while, so I decided that the birth of September 2006 would be a suitable reason for celebration. So I bring to you my Songs of September. Although it may have been cooling down for the rest of the world, here in Texas, it's still in the mid '90's. It will probably stay as [...]
Yes, I just got a California Drivers License (Class C). While I have to use parents and relatives cars I can still drive. I really hope I can start going to more shows. In my opinion, anything sung by Jim is gold. [...]
Happy Fourth of July dearest patriotic readers. To help you celebrate, we've put together a playlist of Independence Day-related tunes. Feel free to let them accompany your backyard BBQ or your late night bottlerocket launching. Ironically though, most of these songs came from major label records, not independent. Our favorite track in the bunch is the Descendents' excellent "'Merican," which keeps it real while keeping it patriotic: "I'm proud and ashamed every Fourth of July / You got to know the truth before you say that you got pride." Happy 4th ya'll! [...]
