Winter comes early in New England. We hoard pellets for the stove, sandbagging the porch against the coming months; we watch our breath before us as we pack it in, and smile, and huddle into our coats. The crate of winter sweaters and scarves takes its ceremonial place by the door, ready for travelers duty-bound to brave the frozen world. Frost covers the windshield when we wake, and makes the brown-gold grass crunch and twinkle in the light of a bright full moon. Though the solstice doesn't arrive until late [...]

Hey, everyone! Happy New Year! I hope that you have a good one, and that you're surrounded by good food, friends, and music. It's been a long year over here (the epic dissertation struggle continues), and I haven't always been the most attentive (you're top of the list of New Year's Resolutions!)... but I wanted to thank everyone for all their love and support. I've been positively blown away by the amount of excellent music that has been sent my way, and the... well, legitimacy, I seem to have stumbled into. So, in 2011, I'll be stepping up [...]

I've been unabashedly reveling in every morning where we evade the chill for one more day, where I can ride my bike to work in a skirt and short sleeve shirt, where I can sit on the porch after dinner and not feel that mercury drop and the gooseflesh form. But hey - all that stopped early this week, with a final burst of indian summer and the subsequent autumn arrival. Time for scarves and cider and music that makes me feel thoughtful, wistful, warm. Once the inspiration hit, this mix was almost harder than the summer [...]
Here we are with more great lists, lists of great music and from great friends. The good folks over at You Crazy Dreamers (of which I blog for as well - check us out!!) have provided a list of some solid music from the last year. The list while put together from Olivier, with input from the team that includes Laura, Martin, Trini and myself. Despite the fact that we span 4 countries and 2 continents, we still connect on a regular basis if for nothing else then the sharing of great music. But [...]
Outside temperature are painfully reaching the 10° (celsius) in the afternoon, starting from a low 4° in the morning : an overlook on a yearly calendar.. here we are : winter knocking at the door ! So it's been a busy time... many stuff to deal with, preparing everybody before the first snow falls... Excuses. These are only excuses for posting a so short article about an artist who had released about 7 albums ! But excuses as a transition : before hibernation, I need WARM music to enjoy along a peaceful sitting by the wood-stoven light ! [...]
I've been writing couple lines this last february about the unclassifiable and talented Californian singer songwriter : John Craigie. Since, I've been received great feedback from this short review and I know that i'm sharing this addiction for John's music with many of you ! Couple months ago, I've met Alessandra Reale. While I was seeking for some information about Chris Bathgate ; my web browser landed me on the Italian Ondarock website where Alessandra published a common interview of Chris Bathgate and Hezekiah Jones . We've shared couple of our favorite artists [...]
Californian songwriter John Craigie will be live next week February the 12th @ Hotel Utah - San Francisco, for the release of his 5th full length album : Soft Hail . 5th album... I've just bought "Picnic on 4053 last week, his 2007 fourth release. And I'm still starving : you know that my appetite for that kind of music is simply insatiable ! Prolific and young, and talented. I won't tell you that his previous albums are as good as Picnic - I simply can't afford for [...]
