Sunday, January 29, 2012, 11:45am John Harrison can't find a kit that he likes. The drum line is already written: a smudged, industrial arrangement that summons Cleveland, not Cincinnati. It would work just fine on its own, or almost anywhere else but here. The braid of three piano tracks and the cascading acoustic guitar call for something a little less aggro. He scrolls through Battery 3 , the titular drum and percussion sampler software, quietly frustrated. The riff, tempo, and surrounding instruments all remain unchanged and uninterrupted, but with each new click the ground shifts [...]

I live in Pittsburgh, and let me tell you, people in Pittsburgh love their zombies. It's all because of George Romero. The director of Night/Dawn/Day/Land/Diary/Surv ival of the Dead was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and he set most of the films in the series in and around the greatest Pittsburgh area. George Romero is known for keeping a semi-constant cast of actors and behind-the-scenes people with him. Both Gaylen Ross and Ken Foree from Dawn of the Dead went to star on in other films by the director, and Tom Savini's pretty [...]
Honestly, I just watched this movie for the first time the other day while carving pumpkins. And honestly, besides the amazingness of Tom Savini's gore and zombie makeup and John Harrison's soundtrack, it bored the crap out of me. There I said it. I would call this movie, "Annoying People Arguing About Zombies In a Bunker". Ugh. The best part of the movie is at the end of the trailer and this song, so watch that and listen to The Dead Walk and you're set. Sorry George. John Harrison- The Dead Walk

I am always nervous jumping in with album reviews from artists I absolutely know nothing about. Purely working from a press release and a handful of tracks certainly removes any hidden agendas or previous musical opinions. John Harrison seems to be pulling the strings regarding this North Carolina based unit and their lustful vision of Indie Pop. `Not For Everyone, Just For You` is the fourth album from North Elementary and quite strangely recorded, produced and shelved over a period two years ago, reasons for non release put down to "false starts and missed connections". For me there`s not nearly [...]
My .mac account is sucking up a storm right now and making it damn near impossible for me to post entire albums as zip files. Once I get that figured out I'll be uploading an awesome Queen set from 1986 taken off of a Westwood One radio concert. Until then, here's some stuff that I promised yesterday. Day Of The Dead Original Soundtrack The Dead Walk Escape Invasion If Tomorrow Comes Break Down The World Inside [...]
