London based record label Bad Life are celebrating their second year of EDM culture merrymaking with this Turbo Turbo remix of "Ride" by Swim. Such a great tune, this is definitely gonna be on repeat for a while and a strong contender for my next Top Ten chart we'll be putting up next week. Somehow Proxy's original is classified as a "Indie Dance/ Nu Disco Track" which I found interesting. Bubba's relatively low key, slightly country-style, original gets turned into a creeped out bit of wired urban IDM. We've had the first three of John Roman's free Revisions EPs in recent weeks. Now a new EP of originals out soon on the lovely Bad Life label. Listen only. The word here is techno. Monitor is moody techno. Head in a bass bin techno. Chewing your lips in a wide-eyed frenzy. This takes no prisoners. Bass buzzes. Beats march ever onward. Fragments is a little less full on. A bit more house influenced techno, with the ' memories ' sample. Quality EP from a name to watch out for.
