American Idol's first lady of pop, Kelly Clarkson, released the video for her latest single, "Dark Side," on May 24th to her official VEVO page. Shot in Los Angeles at the end of April, the video was directed by Shane Drake ("Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)") and features actors portraying several sad and depressing scenarios including unemployment, body image, war, divorce and bullying.

Reality television's newest singing competition, Duets , premiered on ABC last night (May 24), though chances are you didn't watch it: the show debuted with an average of 6.7 million viewers. (That's nearly half of what the debut episode of NBC's The Voice earned last year.) Are these disappointing figures due to a lack of promotion, or a lack of interest, as TV is already over-saturated with people singing and judging singing? (We wouldn't be surprised if people need a breather from singing competitions as American Idol ended its 11th season [...]

Richmond (technically Farmville) native Bridget Carrington made her television singing debut on ABC's "Duets," which premiered Thursday night. Carrington, who works in the finance department for the City of Richmond, was partnered with John Legend and did an incredible rendition of Legend's song "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)."
