"Criminals," you may recall, has been annointed the second single from the forthcoming sophomore set Grace And The Bigger Picture by Birmingham, England-based indie titans Johnny Foreigner . There will be two b-sides appended when the single is released Oct. 12 (digital-only, sadly) through all the typical online storefronts (ITunes, 7Digital, et cetera and hopefully including EMusic for the U.S.). Johnny Foreigner will headline a tour of the UK in October to celebrate the release of their sophomore full-length Grace And The Bigger Picture , an album that we expect will be our favorite of the year (although it already has stiff competition in the form of Projekt A-ko 's absurdly perfect Yoyodyne ). Scottish independent music is booming at the minute, or so I'm told. Independently that is. It's also full of angst and sadness with bands like The Twilight Sad and Frightened Rabbit being the leading lights. But it's another band who has taken my interest of late. This past weekend brought the second festival of 2009 for Another Form of Relief. It was a local festival, but one that I never intended on going to given it's ludicrous £125 ticket cost. Seemingly others thought the same, given ticket sales struggled to such a degree that they were giving £250 of tickets away with £10 items via a clothing store .
