Rivers Cuomo nabbed her for duet and joined her Weezer cover , Mark Hoppus had her on his TV show, and now this: Smiths icon Johnny Marr has employed Beth in his song-for-cash campaign for Ray Ban, which will go well with her complimentary Chucks . He provided some reference points - photography, a map of the LES, a poem, etc. - and they made a song. [...]

Ray Ban teamed up with Johnny Marr and had him pick four "up-and-coming" artists to write songs for him. It's the kind of odd-ball-off-the-wall project that would be easier for you to go read up on yourself than have me explain it to you.
