Together they have produced a track which tells the tale of an endless night or rather, the illusion of one. The track is starts soft and dreamy and breaks into a feel good chorus of happy arps and disco claps. Laser pads and snappy four on the flour beats complete the spectrum. A month or so ago while bored and browsing Facebook i came across a status update from Johnny Neon mentioning a new project being launched. The name of the project is Prada. It features Johnny Kotze (Johnny Neon) and his friend Yannick Ilunga (of Popskarr fame). In truth it doesn't stray far from the type of synth gold that both alter egos are famous for but this is no bad thing. Johnny Neon just dropped off a remix of his track 'Hearts' by Who Killed JR that's hot off the presses and ready for FRIDAY THE 13TH!!! The remix has that electro banger feel / disco feel you get from slap bass and dirty synths. It really has a party vibe to it and I wouldn't be surprised if you hear it on a dancefloor near you soon. Sometimes I hate living in Germany. I've just tried again to preorder Hadouken! 's debut on vinyl, but it's not even listed on amazon or Warner yet. Coming to preorder music, Germany is very limited. Being a poor student, I can't afford purchasing it in the U.K. or any other foreign country. Well, guess I just have to be patient. It seems that before he was the wailing frontman of Beirut Zach Condon recorded an album titled "the joys of losing weight" in 2001. The band is listed as The Real People and all the tracks are untitled (not just lazy tagging by me). It is quite obvious that the album bears none of the eastern europe influence that Beirut has in spades, so enjoy and tell me what you think.
