As you are probably already aware, Later With Jools Holland streams live on Tuesday and then airs a pre-recorded show on Friday night with a whole host of extra performances and other goodies. On the Tuesday night show, St Vincent played the brilliant 'Cruel' . Last night, however, she treated us to not only one but two more live takes. Watch 'Cheerleader' above and stream 'Northern Lights' below. Both are taken from her latest album Strange Mercy .

Later… with Jools Holland was back on the air Friday night with a second set of performances from Damon Albarn and St. Vincent . (Here's the first set if you missed it.) Albarn performed "The Marvelous Dream" and "O Spirit, Animate Us", two tracks off his Dr. Dee soundtrack . He also spoke with Jools about the project. Last week we were treated to an impressive lineup on Jools Holland with Alabama Shakes , Jack White , and Grimes , and this week's episode was just as good. St. Vincent played "Cruel" from her latest album "Strange Mercy" , Damon Albarn dropped "Apple Carts" from his "Dr Dee" [...]

Damon Albarn also was in the studio of Later... with Jools Holland last night promoting the soundtrack to his Dr. Dee opera. The ever busy man performed "Apple Carts" and as we saw Jack White do last week , he sat down for a brief chat with Jools. The performance is enjoyable at the top whilst the interview can be found after the jump.

Another top night of entertainment from the BBC last night in the shape of the first broadcast of Later... with Jools Holland .
