After 2 years working on other projects, Josh Schroeder returns with a new solo EP 'Mourningside,' a collection of five previously unreleased songs that were co-produced with drummer/producer Jason Carter (Black Francis, Pete Yorn, Art Brut) at Wavelength Studios. 'Mourningside' will be released on May 21st. "Paraglide" is reminiscent of one of my all time favorite albums, 'Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness' by Smashing Pumpkins. Caught within the 'Twilight to Starlight' disc with its vintage alt-rock serenade as lush as it is intimate, as ambitious as it is focused and every bit as [...]
Ahh, there's just something about softly sung vocals carrying over delicately strummed ukulele chords. The beautiful simplicity in Josh Schroeder's track "Paraglide" proves this point to the fullest. This Portland based indie artist truly knows how to write a great songs. You may recognize Josh's ethereal vocals and songwriting style from [...]

Taking inspiration from the late, great Jeff Buckley , Schroeder has crafted a delicate track, with some heartbreakingly beautiful lyrics - "I will search endlessly, in a land of dying dreams" - to make an emotional yet fragile song that will melt even the iciest of hearts. 'In A Concrete Forest' is featured on 'Love Is A Shade', available via joshschroedermusic.com . [...]
Josh Schroeder is a singer-songwriter whose music reminds me of two musicians whom I consider to be legends in the music industry: Elliott Smith and Jeff Buckley. This song has a bit of a dark and haunted feel, but it's masked by Schroeder's delicate voice that ripples and quivers like waves on a still ocean,
