Joyce is the name of the 21 year young singer making beautiful pop music such as "Keep The Lights On". Doom Disco is the act that has remixed the track and also renamed it to "Keep The Lights Off". Nice piece of work! Joyce - Turn The Lights Off (Doom Disco Remix) (320 kbps) Of course, here is the original too. Joyce - Keep The Lights On by Joycejoycejoyce

New remixer plaything Joyce (who's uncle played guitar for David Bowie ) and her single "Keep The Lights On" has been Clams Casino'd . Naturally, Clams' cavernous pulsations are stirring and, here, evocative of nightmarish and wet city streets, not unlike the latest from urban explorer Burial . Check it out below: Continue reading: Joyce x Clams Casino - "Keep The Lights On" Read more articles like " Joyce x Clams Casino - "Keep The Lights On" " on PMA [...]
Listen to Clams Casino 's take on Joyce 's "Keep The Lights On" . Joyce is Katherine Fussey , niece of David Bowie guitarist Mick Ronson , and she's released a song, "Keep The Lights On" , that's become a nice new remix target. The latest stab at the song comes from Clams Casino , who last month did that great remix of Florence [...]

Joyce , whose real name is Katherine Fussey, is not a name you may be familiar with, but you may recognize the name of her father, Mick Ronson. Yes, that Mick Ronson of David Bowie fame and a relatively successful solo artist in his own right. Recently, she put her own spin on Wave Machine's Keep The Lights On . Today, we get a Clams Casino hazy interpretation of that cover that is very much in the same vein as M83. Stream it below.
While the name Joyce might not look familiar, chances are you have heard of her father. Well, you've at least heard her father's work, as he (Mick Ronson) was a member of David Bowie's Spiders from Mars band. He also played with Van Morrison and had a strong, albeit not slept-on solo career. In addition, he paved the way for his daughter, whose real name is Katherine Fussey, who here is being remixed by one of our favorites in Clams Casino . He's taken his typically grandiose production approach to her latest single, "Keep the Lights On", and made [...]

Irrevocably immaculate pop is reasonably hard to come by these days. However like stumbling upon a corner shop in raging wilderness having only encountered deluding mirages for weeks here's some icy, effervescent stuff from Sarf Landan's Katherine Fussey, aka Joyce . Indeed although now signed to Island, the label too happened upon her rather fortuitously via this here medium of t'internet. The niece of the creator of Ziggy Stardust's iconic, forever-immortalised hairdo and the daughter of Roxy's sound engineer, if her connections nod back to decades past the path she's currently paving points incontrovertibly toward the future: Keep The [...]

Aldeia De Ogum - Psychemagik Mix by Psychemagik

Bobby McFerrin: Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo [ purchase ] Joyce: Bobbidy-Bobbidy-Boo [ purchase ] Two vastly different takes on a bit of Cinderella magic ease us from one theme into the next this week: Bobby McFerrin's totally deconstructed high-concept vocaljazz, which starts with almost a full minute of the original before kicking in all fragmented and scatlike, and Brazilian mononomic vocalist Joyce's jazzy, bouncy bossa nova, which - given the nonsensical lyric at the song's core - [...]

It had to be a skull. Alexander McQueen teamed up with Hong Kong fashion house JOYCE to create a USB port drive. It carries 2GB worth of space. But you can't get it unless you spend approximately $1,300 on fun things from the store. Then you will get what they are calling the "Truly Gifted" USB stick. What a way to make people spend their money. Posted in Asian Persuasion, D Is For Design, Fash Tagged: alexander, Design, hong, joyce, kong, mcqueen, stick, usb

What I know about Joyce (aka Joycé Silveira Palhano de Jesus) is limited to the few details from the back cover of this cd release and what her voice makes obvious once the music starts playing. Previously unreleased, Visions of Dawn (1976) is a smooth and understated gem of post-Tropicalia acoustic pleasantness. I could write some keywords like samba, bossanova or folk, but these would be misleading, especially since there's a trippiness to this album as well. Did I mention summer days? This fits right in, and perhaps [...]
