Lost & Found Icon Parade If you're feeling down or going through withdrawals with the finality of LCD Soundsystem then Jukebox Collective should help make you feel a little better. Jukebox Collective - Lost and Found ( mp3 ) London. Arthouse Dance Punk. LCD ja DFA, Iggy Pop ja Factory. Ehk roni jalgupidi baaripukile, aja õlled ümber ja laula kõvastivalesti mööda..

We at HMCMB have had some feedback of late regarding post lengths. Admittely it's something that's never far from our thoughts, too short, too long, the battle of quality vs quantity. We feel that we want to give bands and their music the lip service they deserve, yet equally we want to share with you, our readers, as much of the excellent music we receive as is possible. So in summary it is a bit of a conundrum and one which we realistically are nowhere near solving. To conclude then, post length will probably continue to be as random as [...]

Jukebox Collective are releasing a new single - Lost and Found. Last year saw the boys making big waves in the capital after playing some fantastic live shows and what with the recording of their first full length album in January, the waves in 2011 look set to be even bigger! The band have been featured on this weeks 6 music Rebel playlist , where you're asked to vote on your favourite track from three that almost made it onto the official 6 Music Playlist. The winning track will get a play [...]

This here is a killer remix. Very jangly and nuts, but it works. It's part schizophrenic, part bipolar, with a little drug induced psychosis thrown in for good measure. But enough with the psych terminology. The track is Icon Parade by Jukebox Collective and is remixed by a fella called Lazar Wolf. I love the [...]
Take a listen to the jingle-jangle intro of "Icon Parade" by Jukebox Collective and an overwhelming sense of anxiety just might rattles through your bones. It's really little wonder, though, as one key band member once explained: "the song is about a neighbour who keeps getting hassled by these kids, and ends up going a bit mad." And perhaps that's the best way to describe this track - by declaring it also to be "a bit mad." Consider that a high compliment, too, as it carries a faint sound of the chaotic [...]

The name may sound like something out of the 19502s, you'd expect something barbershop about them, but you'd be wrong. If you wanted a simple way to describe it'd be "in the vein of LCD Soundsystem and The Rapture ", which is actually a pretty good way to describe them. They've explained themselves a little differently, using lovely equations. "Kev (K) and Greg (G) knocked out some demos (D) in Gregs bedroom in 2008. Informal drinks (dr) and music making (M) evenings at most. Kev and Greg (KG) later decided that [...]

Sente só: Jukebox Collective - Lost and Found [...]

Last time around we had live music from The High Wire and we were all cast under their gorgeous spell. Foreign Office shook up the room with their awesome pop and David Byrne looks, (...circa Once In a Lifetime). This time around we have some of London's hottest talent on show. There's gonna be upbeat drums, spikey guitars, harpoon-sized hooks, claps, cowbells and more at this monster indie session. Of course we also have Eleni Mettyear's photobooth setting up so get planning your shot. Her last session resulted in the busiest flurry on Facebook [...]

WMC is finally over! Thank God! It gets a little too hectic for me and over saturated with events. There's so many things going on at the same time that a lot of events end up being slow or dead and the really good events sometimes aren't as packed as they should be cause there's so much going on. Traffic/parking is also a mess and some of the people can be pretty cheesy. That being said it wasn't all bad, I did enjoy some quality events. Boy Crisis were [...]

Words: Gareth O'Malley It might have taken a while for 'Icon Parade', the second single from London art-pop types Jukebox Collective to surface, but the wait has certainly been justified. The quartet have produced something raucous, rooted in the classic post-punk sound that they've been influenced by - while at the same time managing to sound like something all their own. The band memorably describe their sound as 'synths and guitars fornicating'. While that sounds just a little off-putting on paper, it's certainly accurate, and not at all as terrible as it seemed. [...]

JUKEBOX COLLECTIVE Welcome back to The Recommender. Those regular readers will notice that we've changed up a little from previous posts. This time we plan to do one single recommendation at a time, rather than the traditional three, so we can focus more on each band and post more frequently. It's all designed to improve the Recommender experience. One thing that will certainly improve it are the fantastic music selections such as Jukebox Collective. You will see in the below post, ( Recommender 78 ), that we had located our new favourite [...]

oh man. the good music just keep on coming! Jukebox Collective are out of East London and man, they are amazing. Remind me a lot of Hockey and a bit of Does It Offend You Yeah?. Bloody fucking good mix if you ask me. The guys themselves are four mates. The stuff is pretty percussion heavy and has that sharp guitar and big DIOYY synth sound. They put the DFA crew as influences, and you hear it quite a bit. LCD and The Rapture definitely. Their second single comes out July 5...but, because we are so [...]
Jukebox Collective is are four friends from East London who dabble in guitars, synthesizers and all sorts of percussion. Taking influences from the DFA camp, they take shades of The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem and add shouting vocals to make pop-edged electronica. Look out for these gentlemen to release their 2nd single, "Icon Parade", in July of this year, in the meantime preview the single below as well as their other tune "Lost & Found." enjoY! [...]
