Wow, there is a wealth of new indie music out there and a bunch that have not been covered by any blogs. I have listened to so many new albums over the last few weeks and it has been awesome. Amazon.com always has some good specials and you can get mp3 digital downloads from them for a pretty cheap price. Check it out. Indie rock Irish trio Bell X1 were formed in 1999 out of the ashes of the fairly popular band Juniper which included critically-acclaimed folk artist Damien Rice. 2006's successful Flock saw the band [...]

A ver si os gustan . m p3: Bricolage-Turn U Over mp3: Willoughby-Story mp3: [...]

I ran across this band in the comments area of a Stereogum post about Axl Rose, Chinese Democracy and Dr. Pepper ( here ), you know when you post a comment you can put your website down and it's linked to your name? Yeah, that's how I came across Junior League. It's kind of a mixed up alternative bubbly country and blues with some banjo thrown in just to fuck with you, I'm not saying it's bad, far from it, this is some outstanding toe tapping stuff they have there. The vocalist, Lissy Rosemont, (and fellow [...]

Fans of Brandi Carlile will NOT want to miss the debut album Oh Dear from up and coming band Junior League . Formed around the sweet yet strong vocals of singer and songwriter Lissy Rosemont , the band puts forth a slice of Appalachian bluegrass tinged folk music that feels like it's rooted in tradition yet still puts forth something modern to claim for its own. According to Lissy, her music harkens back to three major influences: 1) her mother waking up the house every morning by playing hymns on the [...]
Junior League "Charm" - I swear to you that I'm not making this up, but maybe the third time that I heard this song, I was walking up the street and I saw a monarch butterfly slowly gliding through the air, its orange wings contrasted with a perfect, cloudless blue sky. Pretty, yeah? Prettier still because that's exactly what this song is like -- it's just floating along with a natural beauty and grace that almost seems shocking and unreal. It fit just as well in the car yesterday, rolling through the mountains of Vermont, its [...]
