What Is the Best Song Released in the Last Fifteen Years? According to a list assembled by British music magazine NME of the top 150 songs from the last decade and a half, the best song of the modern era is Radiohead's "Paranoid Android" (terrible music video I know. It's friggin fourteen years old). Personally, I think "Bittersweet Symphony" should replace The Killers in the top 5, Hot Chip should be no where near the top 20 and The Libertines should have a different song featured . [...]

Awwwwwwww yeah. It's that time again for some more delectably delicious vitamins from all walks of time and life (read: since electronic music has been around). Get it! Look at A-Trak getting back to his roots. I love everything this man puts out. The beats in this song are out of control. Here's to hoping that A-Trak does some more of this while still pumping out the super dance tracks. Long live A-Trak! A-Trak - Ray Ban Vision ft. CyHi Da Prynce (2010) [...]
![[Listen] – #MusicMonday – 20 Songs Of The Week – March 1st](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2378745_lg.jpg)
If you're unaware of what Music Monday is, it's a Twitter recommendation system where users of Twitter share their favourite music, artists, genres, etc in order to not only find new music themselves but help others find new music too. Using the hashtag (#) followed by "MusicMonday" you can easily find new music posted by the thousands of people making recommendations each week. Every #MusicMonday I upload a playlist of 20 songs that I've been listening to (new and old) over the [...]

![[Electronic] Hard to Escape Bastille’s Beats + Epic Electro Mixtape](http://cdn.elbo.ws/posts/2049670_lg.jpg)
"Bastille an electro house DJ/production duo from Los Angeles consisting of members Julien Benichou and Michael Ullman, both 19 years of age. Our initial influences were all electro artists, including Justice, The Bloody Beetroots, and Teenage Bad Girl, but we have since fallen in love with all forms of house music, especially producers like Deadmau5, Pryda, and Afrojack." I gotta say I was blown away by these two epic tracks from Bastille, they may be young but the maturity in these remixes is amazing. They have automatically made their ways into my must listen playlist [...]

My final exams are over and I think they went pretty well. With that, I am done with my year at college and am already halfway done. That's kind of crazy to think about; I'm not really sure where these last two years went. But anyways, I had a lot of fun this semester and last week I went out to the newly improved Clybourne with some friends and heard a song I hadn't heard in a while. I'm just going to make this post short and dedicate this to my friends, especially a few [...]

My good buddy Alan just put out his first EP..... A bunch of cool remixes from old classics to new underground stuff with some original stuff thrown into boot.... The tracks are infectious party favourites.... But if you dont believe me believe the masses of ppl feeling his stuff on HypeM.... So much heat that his Spank Rock track was the most popular track on Hype today! Bump (Kid Legit Remix) - Spank Rock Bump (Kid Legit Remix) - Spank Rock [...]

Kid Legit just sent me a copy of his EP, The Kid Legit EP, which features a couple original tracks, and a few sweet reworks. I am particularly enamored of his rework of 'Bump' by Spank Rock. I really liked the original, and a few of the reworks ive been hearing the last few months, but this one definitely takes the cake. It sounds like a mix between 90s era dance music and some upbeat 2k8 banger shit. Heres the little blurb he sent me about himself: Kid [...]
The week in Bangers : While electronic rumors isn't strictly an Electro-House blog, we do cover a lot of Electro-House that crosses over in to our realm. So many good club tunes and reMixes surface each week we can't (and wouldn't) cover them all, so this is a round up of some of the best from the week that we didn't have time to dedicate individual posts to… What's in the bag this week? Well, we start off with Empire Of [...]

Back again with part three...this project is literally consuming my life at the moment..well maybe not my life, but quite alot of my thoughts. Again, for those of you who are are wondering what I'm talking about, check this out . 12. Justice Vs. Simian - We Are Your Friends (Original Mix) [4:18] [time remaining 960:03] (Direct Link) (Alt Link YSI) There was a point in time when I was sick to the back teeth of this song. But the thought of never being able [...]

All photos courtesy of zemotion Pretty lax weekend if I do say so. I'm cooped up inside my cozy apartment by choice. Partly recuperating from last night, as well as keeping away from the Siberian-esque wind and snow that has fallen on our great city (and watching Eddie Murphy stand-up). At least that gives me some time to make some long overdue posts. Start with a few tracks from A1 Bassline. The London based bedroom producer has released some of the more consistently solid works over the last year. Some artists [...]

Ushering in the Valentine's Day lovefest this year at Webster Hall was an Ed Banger gangbang DJ line-up of Busy P and Xavier De Rosnay (one half of Justice). The whole of Girls & Boys was really rad on Friday night and the stage was more packed than we'd seen prior, making the shaking of monitors all the more dangerous with the trembling of the stage brought about by the jumping masses. The crowd itself was sardine-like in composition and, judging by the photographs you're about to see, sweat was certainly not in a [...]

I need to apologize straight up to Louie Fresco and Tony/Edit of Disco Villains for not getting their previous ish up in a timely manner. Those who haven't noticed, will know now that soquitcherbitchen has hit a road block in posting. Excuses aside, my time hasn't been readily available... and I owe it to those artists that personally send me material to get their ish up for the masses. So first... their February Mixtape. This isn't just any normal mixtape though, as it might as well be named "Transport-me-back-over-the-la st-six-months-of-ace-Disco-Vil lains-mix". Because that's what they did with this, [...]

Here are some cool remixes by Justice. Some you may have heard, some you probably haven't. Boys Noize went at Phantom Pt II and amped it up with roaring synths and sweet subtle syths to fill it out. Supertraxxe is a smaller artist I came accross, not quite as well put together as the Boyz Noise track it is an awesome take on an awesome song and definately dropable. The Religion Remix of Planisphere is pretty solid, very deep, very intense house. On a completely different tip would be the B'more themed remix of We are Your Friends that I've [...]

Continuing this from last Sunday . Listen up. I've got a whole lotta new shizz for you and your granny. No, I really do. I'm just completely swamped. If I had a bit more time this week, almost every single one of these remixes would have seen its own post. But, alas, life doesn't work out that way. Maybe some of you can help me? Beyond normal life stuff, I have been pretty busy watching movies. Award season is upon us and I am still severely behind. While most of the theaters around here are [...]

For a while now, many prominent DJs in the Sydney scene have dismissed the Baltimore Club as a trend that never really hit it big in OZ, and it has already past. Well, after last night I can see this sticking around for a long time, now you may ask why is this? Last nights adventures started at the monthly party called "The Heat", I was meant to play for an hour and a half, however my set got cut down by half an hour so the next guy could play. Usually something like this would piss me [...]
