Lionrock's Packet of Peace from 1993 is a techno classic that has had any number of remixes, from The Chemical Brothers to Jeff Mills. And it has continued to be remixed. So, it's no surprise that Justin Robertson himself has had a more recent go, on this 2010 release under his Deadstock 33s name. This takes the original from it's leftfield techno base into a cosmic disco exploration. Doesn't necessarily improve on the original but doesn't shame it either. Buy

Thought you might like to know that Justin Robertson has his new Swans EP out now, in his Deadstock 33s guise. Trixy is a piece of slow, slightly old school, electro. Lacks a certain oomph. Swans brings on the electro funkiness, with some backwards guitar and whispered vocals. Psychedelicness. Spirit World has a certain one-finger synth line charm.
