I was pretty big on New Orleans rapper Juvenile in the late 902s, early 20002s. He incorporated humor, grit and sex and was also one of the many to herald in the sub genre of "Dirty South" rap. His latest, Mardi Gras is interesting in that he sounds much better, but not much like himself. If anything he sounds like another MMG (Maybach Music Group,) protege with the beat and the Meek Mill-ish flow. I think it's safe to say we won't be hearing anything like this from him anytime soon. Juveniles, one of the greatest discoveries of 2011, dropped their official video for latest single, "We Are Young". Rennes, France based trio recently released their EP on Kitsuné. "We Are Young" was definitely one of my most addictive tunes for the past year.
