A fresh take on disco from the home of palm trees and bad bitches. Long Beach natives Alex Noblé and Luigi III make up the group LBCK , an acronym with many interpretations but most commonly settled at Long Beach City Kids. The duo linked up in late 2009 and haven't taken a break since. I love their unique, versatile swag which is somewhere in the realm where disco funk meets crafty synths, epic builds, and viciously heavy drums. Shiny Disco Club is a new electronic music label founded in June 2010 by Nicolas Masson & Paul Perrault. Yesterday, they released their very first Disco house compilation completely free. I am currently re-discovering myself towards music, given my epiphany last week regarding what exactly was the style that made me happy to share, when DJ'ing. Nevertheless, it's important to stress that I've been hearing nu-disco for ages, just never realized how much I enjoyed it. A while back we featured the marvelous freebie Computer Malfunction E.P from French-House's 9yr old prodigal son Kamei . If that wasn't crazy enough he then got a whole bunch of people to remix the EP and he then put that out for free (we kinda missed that btw) and now my favourite track on the original ep 'Planetary' has been remixed by my favourite cheese eating, Ruth Flowers loving Australian, Moonchild .
