Drives. Those long ones with your favourite person next to you, windows down, volume up. Nu disco and it's kin genres have a way of transforming these situations. Your vision becomes tunneled, objects pass by with ethereal smoothness, the vehicle feels like it can float over the asphalt path. Nothing is said, but everything is shared, it doesn't matter where you're headed because on drives like these, the journey is the destination. Time for some music fit for just that. I gotta say it's been nothing but a delight following Josh Legg's career as Goldroom . Each [...]

Here's a beautiful remix from Kamp! for the single "I Am The Sun," which belongs to the upcoming EP "Remixed" from the Polish duo Twilite to be released on May 21st. Kamp! doesn't make too many remixes, but when they do you know it's gonna sound to something epic. Enjoy...!

It's been a long time coming for Kamp! to be finally featured on AN, but waiting ever so patiently amongst the skies, is this trio of young Polish producers who are taking in more picturesque sunshine than a private villa overlooking the Maldives on a beach holiday. With 'Cairo' emitting its luminosity over a beautiful lush backdrop & a stunning bunch of chords played superbly, this Original of theirs is set for the foreseeable stars.
What a crazy year it's been for Discotexas, the label has seen some pretty big releases that have helped them grow. To celebrate that growth their releasing a new compilation album called Buck... Read the rest on Speakerboxxx.com

Discotexas label released another volume of their 'Bucket of Love' compilation. It has 19 tracks from our releases that were hits, that weren't but should have been, and a couple of unreleased tracks, like 'Cave Disco' by Astrolabe with an edit by Discotexas. Moullinex describes it as "undercover agent disco" and we (the label) feel it suits perfectly! The compilation was released on February 24. It contains a lot of tunes we already published on Nite Versions in the past year. Play it now but don't forget [...]

I heard the original of Kamp! 's track 'Cairo'; I loved it. Then I heard the Moullinex remix, which more upbeat and has a great indie disco vibe which made it even better! You can buy the single here . Kamp! - Cairo (Moullinex Remix)
Well, it's been the Year of the Dragon for a few days now and I really haven't noticed much of a difference. Anyway, I want to feature Calembour today; you may have seen the name in some previous Fridays. Calembour has one of the more creative approaches to dance music and it's been demonstrated consistently for the past couple [...]

Ahem! Excuse me. If you thought you were taking a break because last weekend was New Years Eve then forget it. This is the first weekend of 2012 and it's time to kick things off right. Artwork by Dalila Couto Finally, our top remixes of 2011. Just like the originals, our followers have chosen their favourites. Some of them really surprised me. This is best idea we could possibly have. It's the easiest way to find new music and it's also an interesting way to see what people listen. The second part of this pack is going to be blogged during the day. Listen and share this sweet blog post.... [...]

Artwork by Dalila Couto WOW!!! The best of the bests....! Last broadcast of "Encontros imediatos" of 2011. João invited the Golden Crew to talk about our favorites. As you can imagine it's not easy, but we have to choose someone. For about an hour we referenced a lot of good people. Besides our top we also mentioned artists such as Kicko, Loverboy, Moullinex and Xinobi, on the national scene. From the "exterior" we talked about KAMP!, Stardone, Muffin, Volta Bureau, Gold Panda, A Gap Between, Toro Y Moi, Neon Indian, Back2Funk, Justin Faust, Beth [...]

Artwork by Dalila Couto A couple weeks ago we asked our followers what were their favorite tracks of 2011. We could have done our own top, but we have decided people should tell us, because all blogs are doing their own charts. If there is any track missing, we apologize for it, but i think everyone is included. Anyway, we have also contributed with our favorites. No doubts 2011 was an excellent year. Here we only have originals, during this week we are going to blog as well all the remixes. For sure [...]

Artwork: Yannis Dragasakis La.Ga.Sta. offered its services to many weary travellers once more this year. By "following rivers" they drove "through the green" and found themselves in "English Riviera" only to come back again to our station for another refill. Taking a Friday drive down this year's memory lane, we think back on our numerous stops including among others: Our after-hours, absolutely wicked dj set in the VIP room of Melt! Festival. We might have missed Cut Copy's performance but we certainly had a blast. Shout out to T.E.E.D., Azari & III, [...]
Let's kick things off with one of the biggies. Best reMix . Compiling 03-20 was tough, this year has been amazing for reMixes, it seems like every release in 2011 came loaded with quality versions. There were so many singles released this year that it was nearly impossible to choose your favourite mix off of. As ever, I'm sure there are tracks we have forgotten, and tracks we will be kicking ourselves for not including when they are pointed out to us, and tracks we will remember tomorrow. The winner though, and the runner up, [...]
