Dry Rain is the production company of Needlz, the Grammy-winning producer behind tracks for G-Unit, Ruff Ryders, Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Bruno Mars and more. MUSIC NEWS- Def Jam Executive Vice President Shakir "Shake" Stewart committed suicide today, November 1 in New York City, according to sources. His body was found in his apartment Saturday evening. Stewart, a Morehouse College graduate, had succeeded Jay-Z at the top of the Def Jam in June 08 while retaining his duties as senior VP of A&R at Island Def Jam. Originally from Oakland, CA, he signed artists Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and newcomer Karina Pasian to the label. Additional information will be posted as available.

This was sent to me with a note calling her the "Next Alicia Keys!" Karina, who apparently speaks seven languages, was also co-signed by Lil Mama last week on '106 & Park' as someone else making music with a message when she was asked what other young artists she liked.
