Day 2 on our 2-day ramble off the indie pop highway and quite by chance it is again a slice of alt country that is filling our senses with glee (or not given the melodrama on offer). Been absolutely loving the self-titled album from Kate Tucker & the Sons of Sweden . A friend put a song of theirs on a mix CD for me a few weeks ago and I was immediately drawn to the track "In Your Dreams" . I decided to investigate their tunes further and I am so glad I did. Kate has such a stunning voice and the whole album is just solid. This is definately one of those albums to listen to on a rainy day or a Sunday morning. I'm suffering from a bit of writer's block today. I just feel tired and unable to write about various bands I wanted to post on. Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden came out with their self titled debut album last November. As far as I know, you can only get it at their myspace page, itunes, and Amazon. They are an indie pop group from Ballard Washington. I think that they are pretty fantastic. The songs are very intimate and emotional. Kate Tucker has amazing vocals that are sweet like honey. The sound and lyrics will draw you in. If you like Neko Case then you should enjoy Kate Tucker.
