Italy-based label Frontiers Records released two of 20112s awesomest glam metal records, Sebastian Bach's surprising Kicking And Screaming and Forevermore by Whitesnake, one of this year's very very awesomest (read here). So Frontiers was already hot when two Tuesdays ago Beggars & Thieves' new record We Are The Brokenhearted came out. The jam I heard was [...]

Everyone's heard 'Because the Night,' but whose song is it? Here we look at some of its famous and not-so-famous covers.
Some more of the more poppy rock reviewed, with a touch of ole school 80s hard rock.

Today is definitely the day I'll probably catch up on my sleep. Heh. I can't say I'm all that excited about the main stage performers, so I'll probably spend the majority of the day hitting the side stages with hopes of something stellar falling into my lap. One act I am definitely looking forward to seeing is Keel. I graduated high school in 1985. Keel's The Right To Rock would become the fastest-selling debut album in A&M's history that year. The band are [...]
So this week is based on the genius behind: The Finer Things Blog. This is one of a few blogs which I avidly follow and I encourage all of you to actually take the time to read his thoughts. He's intelligent and forward, in your face and uncompromising, biased and white. He uses a pseudonym. His name is not Keel Swearingjones, it's America. So recently, Keel was a guest columnist for his school's paper. First let me say that Keel is [...]
So if you like the blog, become a fan of it on Facebook. That way you'll be notified when I update the blog-a-roonie. You can click me in order to do that if you would like. Two Nations - The Streets - The Hardest Way To Make An Easy [...]

The band have encouraged their fans to come in fancy dress and quite a few have. There's a motley array of fairies, nuns, even a Star Wars stormtrooper, along with the predictable 'Cops and Robbers'. Daughter catches a dummy that I assume someone has thrown out of their pram. L and I have come as 'old people', Daughter says she's come as someone 'who isn't with us'. The second of two [...]

One might think that I spent a ridiculous amount of time in front of my monitor this weekend, but I honestly didn't. I had a pretty productive weekend. I got the majority of my place packed and ready for my move. I took care of all the mail forwarding, UHaul renting, and other bullshit I could at the moment. It felt good to get that stuff out of the way. I've always wanted to put together a mix of the metal covers that are floating around in my head from time to time. There are a million others, [...]
