Quadron 's sophomore full-length, Avalanche , is almost here. But before it drops on June 4, they're keeping the momentum of "Hey Love" going with the release of "Better Off". It features a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar, which is only fitting given the connection between him and Quadron's Robin Hannibal. You see, Hannibal's work with Boom Clap Bachelors was sampled on Lamar's " Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe ". Here, he's provided a slightly jazzy backdrop from frontwoman Coco O. and the Compton MC, who is a natural fit for this feature. Stream "Better Off" below. [ [...]

It's looking to be a big year for Danish duo Quadron . Singer Coco O. appeared on the Great Gatsby soundtrack and Tyler, the Creator 's Wolf , while producer Robin Hannibal recently saw success as a member of smooth R&B project Rhye . But now the two are focused on Quadron and looking to capitalize on their respective momentum for their forthcoming album Avalanceh . And for that record's first salvo they've dropped "Better Off," featuring Kendrick Lamar . [...]

by Andrew Sacher DOWNLOAD: Black Hippy - "U.O.E.N.O" Remix (MP3) When we first realized Rhye wasn't as mysterious as we thought, it was brought into the public consciousness that one half of the duo was Mike Milosh (better known as just Milosh) and Robin Hannibal , who is also one half of the duo Quadron with Coco O. " U.O.E.N.O. ," the recent single from the Atlanta rapper Rocko, earned itself a ton of unwanted notoriety in recent months: It's the song where Rick Ross bragged about date rape. All four members of L.A.'s furiously exciting Black Hippy supergroup - Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock - have teamed up for a spazzed-out, fired-up remix of the track. Download it below. Read More... [...]

After Rick Ross caused quite the controversy with his "U.O.E.N.O." , the Black Hippy squad decided it would be a good track to help promote their upcoming tour. With a small introductory video featuring Mac Miller, the crew quickly jump into this slick production. While we didn't care much for the Ross original, it is fair to say all members of T.D.E. do a fine job of holding their own on the Black Hippy remix. Give the remix a spin below. Tour dates can be found in the video.

Kendrick Lamar will tour the country this Summer while promoting his good kid m.A.A.d city album and the TDE team just released a quick promo video featuring a hilarious cameo by Mac Miller impersonating Schoolboy Q and a "U.O.E.N.O." freestyle by Black Hippy. Peep below and let us know who do you feel went in the hardest in the c-section.

Top Dawg must be made up of some really smart cats. Even though Kendrick was maybe supposed to be on Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O," things must have changed. TDE shotcallers probably saw the same thing we did, which was a runaway hit turning into a one-car crash into the median and figured bowing out would be a better bet. Instead of letting K.Dot's verse go unheard, the whole Black Hippy squad joined in and thus we get to hear what we wanted, without suffering through Rocko. Watch the good kid, M.A.A.D. City [...]

Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul & Jay Rock - U.O.E.N.O Freestyle

We've already heard ASAP Rocky and Usher jump onto remixes of Rocko's “U.O.E.N.O.”. Now, Kendrick Lamar , ScHoolboy Q , Ab-Soul , and Jay Rock , a.k.a. Black Hippy , have debuted their version of the street anthem in a video promoting their upcoming tour . Listen in below (the track begins at the 1:15 mark).

Having already staged two South American legs this year, one of North America’s biggest live music events will return to home soil in the summer with over 160,000 festivalgoers with Lollapalooza tickets expected to descend upon Chicago’s Grant Park on the weekend of Aug 2-4. Several acts who performed at the Brazilian date at Sao Paulo’s The Jockey Club in March and the Chilean version at Santiago’s Parque O’Higgins in April will grace the Lollapalooza stage for a second, and in some cases third, time in the space of six months including Queens Of The Stone Age, Two [...]
A new music video from Kendrick Lamar with toys with some comedic and dramatic ideas involving partying, death, violence. There's even a call for the death of Molly at the end of the video. The themes are nice, but it's really the visuals on this video that impress: a somber funeral where attendees are dressed in white, rolling hills behind a beautiful and grassy field, and a funeral procession that looks more like an all-out party. This track comes from Lamar's latest full-length, Good Kid m.A.A.d City , which you can catch a review for below:

A tweet from Q Tip to Kendrick Lamar suggests the artists have recorded a track together. Q Tip asks Lamar in the tweet if he "can let this record we did go?" because "people need to hear it." @ kendricklamar can I let this record we did go my brotha? A founding member of the hiphop/ jazz group A Tribe Called Quest, Q- Tip's musical career has expanded for well over 25 years. Even though reunions of the legendary hiphop group rarely occur, the hiphop aficionado has been keeping busy through collaborations with Mac Miller, Busta Rhymes, Roc Maciano, and more. According to Twitter, it seems that we may have to add another artist to his list of gold- fledged collaborations. Yesterday Q- Tip tweeted to the good kid m.A.A.d city rapper Kendrick Lamar: @ [...]
The Hangout organizers presumably intend the word "Hangout" to be read with leisurely fellowship in mind, and certainly that matches the vibe here in Gulf Shores. But one passable alternate reading is "hang out" as in "Letting it all hang out," as in my bare gut protruding across my belt line, as in eating something called the Damn It To Hell Sandwich that will undoubtedly contribute to that gut's expansion, as in then dipping my legs into a swimming pool while sipping beer and watching live music. As in wringing the most possible sensory pleasure from 10-12 hours at the [...]
