come on chemicals! kevin barnes is complicated, and listening to any of montreal record is an excercise in keeping one's sanity close to the chest. i dont mean to imply that listening to of montreal will make you go crazy, but if you delve into his mildly irrational lyrics you may find yourself sinking deeper and deeper into some kind of momentary kevin barnes inducded depression. or, if you just dont pain attention to whatever he's rambling on about you'll just find yourself enjoying some of finest art pop records being made today. their newest, skeletal lamping [...]

Rolling Stone have just posted a new of Montreal track from the forthcoming album Skeletal Lamping due this October. The track, called Nonpareil Of Favor, continues where Hissing Fauna.. left us wanting more, but there's a bit more edge to the new songs. The guitars are a lot heavier and dominate the sound a bit more, but the vocals are still trademark Kevin Barnes and you wouldn't want them to be anymore hysterical or desperate.
