Kid Infinity - the Big Why Kid Infinity is the most banging electro party rap group in Los Angeles. While they're known for their envelope-pushing 3-D light shows , exceptional videos , and clever product presentations , the duo's music is anthemic and pounding enough that it doesn't need any of that stuff to grab audiences - anyone who has witnessed K.I. at a FMLY Ride knows that they can get it done just right with only a generator and PA (if you haven't seen K.I. in person, you can "take a taste" [...]

[A weekend special: Here are three local bands who have gotten the remix treatment.] Saint Motel - "Puzzle Pieces (Junk Remix)" — Indie rock outfit Saint Motel gets a danceable but darker remix from Junk . Heavier beats warp the vocals and rhythm while also touching on the dark subject matter hidden in between those peppy keyboard riffs in the original (which we premiered here ). Saint Motel plays the free outdoor Tarfest Music Festival today along with Everest, [...]

DJ Margot (I.E.) by Amy Darling Independence Festival organizers succeeded in convincing a couple-hundred concert goers to drive two hours into the middle of nowhere in the desert, through nearly abandoned rocky dirt roads with only a geo-location on a Google map and waning reception to guide us. Bestial Mouths kicked everything off, and So Many Wizards followed up with an energetic set on the heels of the release of their new Inner City single. Son of Cecil played next followed by Halloween Swim Team, who got everyone moving to their own brand of synthpop, closing [...]
Electronic duo Kid Infinity captures their LA underground culture in the new music video for "The End Is Never Now." The music video is an energetic compilation of footage from their live performances and arts collective, FMLY's organized bike rides, which combine music, bikes, and friends. Costumes, lasers, and dancing crowds galore, Kid Infinity's video displays their total involvement and dedication to creating aural and visually dynamic live shows. Their party atmosphere and infectious sound are sure to please in their new video. Download "The End Is Never [...]

The End Is Never Now by Kid Infinity Kid Infinity just finished their new music video but there is something oddly familiar about this one... That's right, they made a music video out of their FMLY RIDE shows. The track The End Is Now Never is one of those tracks you can't help but bust a move to. Take a close listen to the lyrics too though because it's got a pretty awesome theme. are the ultimate party experience and always push forward. We can only expect more of that to come. [...]

Day one of SXSW started not with a bang but with a whimper… of DELIGHT, as I ate a delicious vegan tamale breakfast plate at Boulden Creek Café on South 1st Street, my first meal in days that involved actual protein and vitamins! Of course, being a no-good rocker type, my breakfast started around 2 in the afternoon, so I missed Summer Twins and some other Burger Records goodies at Trailer Space Records, meandering into my parking spot just in time to catch a third day of Feeding People , who still had enough energy [...]

[Third of a 5-part series previewing Los Angeles acts headed to Austin to play SXSW:] HANDS If you like: Tough-to-Google band names, nifty use of samples, drama. What's up with them: It's no accident Hands have scored some prime gigs opening for big acts — the latest being Saturday night with DeVotchKa. Their sweeping, beat-addled mix of rock and [...]

Kid Infinity - Summertime Loner If you weren't there, there is no way to describe what you missed. Kid Infinity brought music performance to a new level at the Alexanderia Hotel. If you are going to Austin, you should definitely check out their totally free live show .
Dirty Laundry:Kid Infinity from Dirty Laundry on Vimeo . On this week's edition of Dirty Laundry TV, host Malia James speak with LA-based rap duo Kid Infinity about "their Smell show, 3D on drugs and Daft Punk." Sounds rad? It is.
Kid Infinity's "3-D Live!," which took place at the ballroom of the Alexandria Hotel, was a visual masterpiece. Moving cubes were still the main theme, but the surreal scenes that surrounded singer Ryan Pardeiro were smoother and more developed than the backgrounds of KI's first 3-D show last year at the Smell. They seemed "bigger" in an epic sense. At the Smell, the spectacle had the effect of a crooked Tetris game. At the Alexandria, I felt like I was inside Luke Skywalker's helmet as he took down the Death Star. It was otherworldly. Only a year after [...]

The wizardy of Ryan Pardeiro and Nathan Huber is still a work in progress, but the electro duo known as Kid Infinity succeeded Saturday night in turning a rustic ballroom at downtown's Alexandria Hotel into something akin to the Holodeck on the U.S.S. Enterprise. In only their second live performance, Kid Infinity's eye-popping 3D visuals offered a glimpse of the next generation of concert experiences. Bring on the festivals. It as almost an insult that people brought glowsticks to the show — it was like taking Boone's Farm to a wine tasting. With the [...]
