
The second day of Sea Sessions 09 brings both blazing sun and a lot more revellers descending on Bundoran for the mix of music and sufring. Unfortunately the tide conditions are really not conducive to the latter and today's surf event is postponed until Sunday afternoon. There were only ever four real contenders for this once the voting started. The top four albums below trail-blazed from day one and the others all languished behind. This year almost 200 of you voted for 61 different Irish albums with 354 votes counted in total. That's three more albums than last year. Tomorrow night (Sat 15th) in Dorans, Kill City Defectors are having their album launch for their new album "Mutiny Sounds", Huzzah! I've been listening to it all morning and it's excellent funky rock 'n' roll music. Live, they really know how to get the dancefloor moving so pop along to the gig tomorrow night. You betcha. The debut album from Super Extra Bonus Party is being released this week and is without a doubt, one of the most diverse and eclectic Irish albums of recent memory.
